Excerpt: I owned this camera before having my actual A1300. This is a good compact camera and you can make great photos in automatic mode. It must be bright day light. I didn't accomplish this photo from first shot. You must have patience, perseverence, and best angle.
Summary: I supposably purchased this camera brand new from amazon. NOT! My camera arrived in a new box with batteries still factory sealed and directions. What it did not arrive with was the protective film over the display panel.
Summary: This camera fits the expression "You get what you pay for." Seems it's always giving me the symbol to use a tripod to avoid blurring. In fact, too many pictures do come out blurry, especially if I use the zoom, which doesn't provide much enlargement.
Summary: Terrible camera. The camera on my phone takes far better pictures. I wanted something on the cheaper end to take while I was traveling. Right out of the box, I knew this was not going to work. It takes way to long to process between the time you take a picture and the time the shutter goes off.
Summary: I bought this inexpensive model of Canon to take photos to send over the Internet. I am not a fancy photographer. I just want to take photos to send to friends. It is a Canon. That is a good reason to buy it.
Summary: This camera has been terrific! I use this camera in my work as a real estate appraiser. Several of the features that make it particularly good for me are the fact that it will acquire it's point of focus quickly.
Take great pictures for the size and sturdily built enough to last.

Summary: Really like the quality of the pictures this camera takes and especially for its compact size. I'm not a photo hobbyist so I don't know what all the special tricks and ritual sacrifices needed to take a great picture are but the simplicity of this point and shoot camera makes taking photos good...
Summary: I like the fact that this camera uses AA batteries instad of a rechargable battery. I just carry extra batteries along all the time. Remember that in digital photography, batteries are your film.
Summary: If you want a view finder, and don't want to spend a lot of cash, this will work. It's a pretty cheap camera, but you do get what you pay for. I would recommend it to someone that doesn't need a camera for work, just play!
