Camera didn't last

Summary: I bought it used, but I expected it to last longer than it did. Canon is a great company that makes great cameras, but buyer beware! Buy a new camera, not a used one. Go to a retailer that will offer a warranty. I expected a longer life from this camera. It deteriorated quickly.
Summary: Not a bad camera, but it isn't the best for low light situations. Video quality is just OK, audio not good in loud situations. Only bought it at the last minute to take on a trip because my good camera went MIA...(Canon30XIS). Fine for travel and quick snap shots in good lighting conditions.
Takes great pictures but batteries don't last long in this!

Summary: Took this camera on a week-long trip to Switzerland. Very easy to use, very small and light weight (tucked it in a small day bag or jacket pocket), takes great pictures... but it burns up batteries too quickly! I could take less than 100 pictures before having to replace the batteries.
Summary: I wanted a little pocket camera, used to have a powershot S70 which was great but wanted a bigger screen and higher iso so I bought this and the picture quality is a little grainy. But the pictures do come out better than they look on the LCD!
Summary: Let me start by saying that I am a lifelong Canon fan. I have had an older model Elph that still takes GREAT pictures (circa 2001) and is a perfect pocket compact. I recently purchased the SX10IS and feel it is the best camera I have owned.
Summary: Yikes! I own three Canon digital cameras... this is the only one that gobbles batteries like they are candy. On a recent trip, I went though 4 sets in one day. Yes, I took a lot of pictures. but with the other Canons I have used, the AA batteries lasted most of the day before I had to change them.
Summary: I bought this camera based on the reviews it had. Between amazon and cnet, we thought we were getting a good deal. The price was right but we are returning the camera. The good: -Slim and portable. -Fairly easy to use. Easy program menu to navigate. -Big view screen and a separate view finder.
Summary: The A1100IS I had was just OK. My main concern is the quality of the pictures not all the whizbang features. The camera is very easy to operate and the size makes it an every day carrier in my pants pocket. The "on" response was good and the shutter lag was acceptable.
