Summary: I was very surprised to see so many positive reviews on this camera. My camera only takes blurry pictures. After readng all the reviews I thought I was doing something wrong so I reread the instruction manual. It says to not have blurry pictures to push the button down halfway allowing it to focus and then push again. Let me tell you, this is not easy and it doesn't happen. I can very rarely get it to focus. I am currently searching for a different camera.
Summary: Do not waste your money! This camera really struggles and I am very disappointed in its performance. Basically this camera just takes very poor pictures. I do a lot of hiking and usually my shots are taken with great lighting... You would think with a 300 dollar point and shoot that with good lighting you should have no problem taking good crisp shots. Unfortunately, all of my shots seem to be the exact opposite.
Summary: My Powershot took blurry pictures continuously which I could not resolve. Also, in the sun, the back display disappeared. I contacted customer service about both issues and sent in the camera (still under warranty). I then received a bill in the mail for more than the camera was worth and when I contacted them about this they said it was b/c I did not send in the proper paperwork.
Summary: I have always bought SONY cameras because of the picture quality, but when I decided to upgrade everyone told me that canon was way better, and so I bought this camera. What a waste, i really hate it, I am going to ive this one to my kid and go back to sony!
Summary: I did a lot of homework before buying this camera and the reviews looked great. I've had it for over a year now and it is the worst camera I have ever owned. The picture quality is awful. The auto setting always makes the pictures too bright. I hate this camera!!
Summary: I've been a Canon fan for years... since back in the days of film (Canon AE1). I upgraded recently from an ancient Powershot s400 as I wanted a slimmer faster camera for travel. The price seemed very fair. Big Mistake; Both the build and image quality leave much to be desired. The body fell apart within 4 months of medium to light duty usage. Glad I still have the s400 and it still works. My advice... spend a few bucks more and buy something that will last.
Summary: I don't really like this camera at all. The pictures I got on it are too bright and I did compare the same pictures taken at the same time with other Cannon cameras and the ones taken on this are far inferior. The colors are very washed-out and the contrast isn't good either. It also takes a lot longer to take pictures and focusing takes longer. I wish I hadn't bought this one.
