Excerpt: Just got the camera and have not had a real good opportunity to put it through its paces. Out of what I have done, I am very pleased with the low light capabilities. It is a very nice design, very compact and sleek. The 3" screen is very good and the controls are simple.
Summary: I have been a Canon fan for years, and was excited to buy this point and shoot (my 3rd from this brand). I was especially looking forward to using the new HS technology. The bulkiness isn't a problem (for, make no mistake, this camera is not 'sleek').
Summary: I bought this camera for a gift; I'd had excellent success with an earlier Elph so thought this one would serve the gift recipient in the same way. Problem was, she could never get it to work right --- the touch screen, both when composing shots and after taking them, showed dark, washed-out images...

Summary: I had very high expectations for this camera, and while it has performed beautifully in the video realm (better than expected), the still photo capabilities are not as good as I had hoped. I'm still fiddling with settings, hoping there is something I can do there to improve the quality.
Summary: The camera is fine,but the manual is in German. I have the disc but my computer is "dead" and so unable to to access instructions.I'll There is nothing on the packaging to indicate it was intended for the German market.
Summary: A simple point and shoot camera that produces very good images. Touch screen works well. Slightly larger than the latest cameras and doesn't feel too robust. Should be 4* for image quality but actually much cheaper elsewhere which is disappointing and unusual for Amazon hence only 3*.
Summary: I bought this camera because it was a Canon and for the f2 lens. It is a nice solid, largely metal camera which is nice to use, especially with the large touch screen. But it is unfortunately let down by the results.

The first one I received was most of the time emitting a continuous tone from the speaker - unless one was recording a video - so I sent it back for a replacement which was processed without a...
