Summary: I just tested it out and it seems fine. I have not actually used it yet, but it seems like it is easy to use and takes nice pictures. The brown color is different and does not look like your everyday camera.
Summary: This is one of the most extraordinary cameras we have ever used--it doesn't make a slip, the optics are flawless, its judgement calls on lighting and focus are highly intuitive, and it is compact. sleek and about half what it once cost in Japan!
Summary: I've had this camera for years and it is still going strong. The primary selling point for me was the imaging sensor and capability of low-light pictures. It has surpassed my expectations. My 11 year old took some photos recently for competition in the county fair and won for all 6 photos using this camera! Awesome! When I purchased this camera I also went ahead and found some no-name batteries that fit this model - a two pack for just $8.99.
Excerpt: I bought this for my Mum for Xmas. She loves it. For a small camera the photo quality is excellent. The rear screen and bright and easy to see even in bright sunlight. I can't see any faults in his camera.
Excerpt: These are on big discount from Canon UK on "Refurb" at the moment at under £100 and it`s a real bargain at this price, the newer 510 version replaced the buttons with a touchscreen which was more of a hinder than a help (too easy to press stuff when handling the cam) and didn`t improve anything worthwhile so the 500 is the one to get .....
