Summary: Nice camera but relies too much on touch controls, so the fact that the touch screen is not great, lets the camera down. Give me some more real buttons or a better touch screen. It takes nice photos and the optical stabilization is really nice.
Summary: I love this camera! It takes really good pictures and I have been loving taking pictures with it. The only downside is that the touchscreen is not that easy to use, specially with your fingers.
Excerpt: I love its compact size, it's touch screen for checking back over photos. The touch screen is also handy for pressing record and stop on screen when videoing. I've had no problem transferring photos and video wirelessly to my ipad, just downloaded windows canon on the ipad and they talk to each other very successfully, no leads or plug-ins needed--great.
Pros: Easy to Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Great Resolution
Excerpt: Its been a 15 days i am using IXUS 135 HD to make sure that it captures according to its specifications mentioned, and believe me that is how it is, 16 MP with 8X zoom works very well, 16X zoom works good too, if the camera is stable. Macro works amazing, it captures images as near as 1 cm with amazing clarity. WiFi - Good idea, if you have a Wi-Fi enabled phone you can directly share the images from Ixus 135 to your respective phones supporting WiFi.
Summary: wish there were more printed instructions on use. when using the cd you have to remember and when out cannot recall instructions. haven't found my way round it all yet after two weeks daily use. otherwise ok.
Summary: I purchased this camera recently because it has a great many features. Unfortunately and reluctantly, I had to return it. I am in my senior years, and found holding and operating it uncomfortable and somewhat difficult, as smaller, more delicate hands are required in use. So I opted for a different camera, which although larger had similar attributes. The CanonIXUS 240 is truly great, well manufactured and easy to carry around, but not suitable for me.
