Canon PowerShot ELPH 100

Summary: This is a nice, light weight, compact camera. I have been impressed with the picture quality. The only problem I have, is the auto focus. We have a new grandchild, and by the time I push the button and the auto focus has to adjust, I usually miss the smiles! I am very pleased with the purchase price I got on Amazon, especially with the free one day shipping! I had this camera in less than 15 hours from the time I ordered it!
Summary: Even though I thought I did enough research nothing but disappointed with this camera, I am returning it. I tried working with it for a couple hours but could not get good results at all. Poor color, everything is too bright & looks blown out, software doesn't actually work on Windows 7 even with their update. I can get better pictures with my iPhone. Camera came with a gouge on the bottom so I suspect it was returned before.
Summary: I purchased this camera to replace my aging Powershot SD870IS, which I had been very pleased with. The 100 HS exceeded my expectations. After reading several reviews and looking at images taken by this camera on various photo sharing websites, I decided to jump in. I only had it for about a month when I purchased one as a gift for my mother. The pictures are sharp and show great detail especially in low light.
Summary: Bought this for my girlfriend as a backup. She has a Canon T2i, but having to always lug around a DSLR cameral is a drag. She loves having this for just going out and snapping photos for day to day types of things. The camera is pretty quick to turn on and be ready to shoot. The battery life seems to also be very satisfactory. The optical zoom is a nice feature, and works well. Digital zoom is useless and is just a marketing gimmick for all manufacturers.
Summary: This was a Christmas gift for my Grandaughter, so other than getting it set up and ready for picture taking on Dec 25, the only pictures I actually took were as part of that endeavor. Must say that I was pleased with my limited experience in dealing with getting it set up and the quality of the few shots I did take.
Summary: This camera is a great value for all the features you get with it. I bought this for my mother for her birthday and she loves it. It was very simple for her to learn to use, and she isn't very techy. This is only her second digital camera (the other was an old kodak for about 13 years ago). She had it for about 3 days and we went over and she already had figured out how to take pictures, review them, and delete them.
