Right camera for the right price with excellent features

Summary: Compact, easy-to-understand instructions, very good photo results, and just the right price. These add up to a nifty camera that's easy to tote in my handbag -- one I can whip out and easily catch that "Kodak moment." This is not a camera with a small viewfinder, so I had to learn to hold it very still when pressing the button (I was used to holding my more elaborate Minolta digital camera against my face, which made it easy to get sharp photos).

Summary: I have had owned a PowerShot camera for years...started with a 4MP model, and have had three along the way. I love how absolutely point and shoot they are, and the pictures are such top quality. This latest purchase of mine, the 100HS, is my favorite by far. It boots up super quickly, pictures are perfect every time (though sometimes I notice a little blur if I don't do the half-push, then full push on the shutter button).
Summary: 1 week after I bought the camera out of nowhere it stopped working. The lense doesn't open. According to information collected on google is a common issue with this camera, a from other users experience the warranty doesn't not cover this type of malfunction.
Summary: I purchased this for my mother for Christmas. She is very pleased with this camera. She claims it's easy to use, it was easy to learn the features and her photos have been excellent especially considering the price of the camera.
No USB charging, and battery goes dead if you leave it connected to your computer

Summary: Lack of a critical feature/software kills this thing. The camera is fine for what it is, and would normally get 4 or 5 starts, but a camera that constantly has a dead battery is pretty useless. No USB charging, and the camera kills its better if you leave it connected to your computer. These two issues kill the product for me. A dead camera is about as useful as no camera.
Summary: I purchased this camera for my daughter. The name will tell it all. Light weight, easy to use and very clear pictures. The only regret I have that this camera would just use regular AA batteries like Duracell or any regular Alkaline batteries. The bottom line is a heck of a camera. Again, so happy I got it from amazon.com. keep up the good work amazon.com. Amazon is the best.
Summary: Just rcvd the camera last night, and will report back after using it. It looks like a great little camera. I'm currently charging the battery but spent too much time last night trying to attach the wrist strap - finally gave up. What's the secret, people?
