Summary: This camera is so compact and so versatile in coping with all sorts of bad conditions that have affected previous cameras that I have used. It really is point and shoot in all conditions with an excellent actual zoom and electronic magnifier. The printed results are amazingly good for such a small camera. I would reccommend it to anyone who wants near perfect results without using a bulky professional set-up.
Summary: Wouldn't recommend this camera. Only used it for 2 holidays. Looked after the camera but on my second holiday got lens error message and the camera no longer works. Only just over a year old so out of warranty. Will not be buying another cannon camera.
Summary: I bought this camera from Amazon on a promotion for £81.99 and I think it was somewhat a bargain. I just use for point and shoot and haven't really used any of the various manual settings but just on basic auto pics and video it produces truly excellent results. I wouldn't have bought at full price but for the offer it was rude not to as I have always wanted an Ixus after seeing other peoples results. I wouldn't hesitate at recommending this camera for the price I paid.
Summary: Have used this for 6 months now and have been impressed with the quality of pictures it takes and it's many functions. It's easy to use and fits in a coat pocket comfortably for those quick ,once only shots. Love it!

However, I like a point and shoot and fab photos though the DSLR's take, you can't just shove it in your pocket or handbag. Apart from the old Brownie Box Camera my parents bought me more years ago than I care to remember, every camera I've owned has been a Canon, I love them and I'm more than happy with my upgraded...
