Excellent Point & Shoot Camera
3 December 2011
Summary: This is a great point and shoot camera, and it is purely a point and shoot camera. Photos are consistently good, saturated, and accurate. It fits easily in any pocket. While this is a camera, I also found the movie mode great if your trying to catch movies here and there, like a birthday party, etc.
Summary: I have been reading all those 1-star reviews where people kept saying something like "ohmygod, camera's bad, camera broke, pictures are bad, lens are awful, do not buy this" etc. What can I recommend those people is to throw out their hands, not camera. Why?
Summary: I had the Nikon s3100 and I lost it...., and you know what ? I'm GLAD I did. I just got this from Best Buy and there is NO WAY you can compare it to the Nikon camera. The low light settings is incredible, and it also takes very clear shots.
Summary: This is an excellent little camera. In many situations, it takes pictures of comparable quality to my 1000D. The optical image stabilization puts it solidly above most point-and-shoot cameras I've used.
Summary: Picked up this camera after being severely disappointed with a new Fuji camera that I bought. All I really want is a small camera that takes decent pictures in auto mode. I have an SLR if I want to play with settings but with a small point and shoot camera, playing with the settings just isn't worth...
Good video and quality with simple control, but doesn't always focus right
26 October 2011
Summary: The camera takes nice pictures IF you hold it very still. I don't ever have problems with our Nikon coolpix or Canon SLR XS but about 1 in 6 are blurry on this camera. We bought it for the high rating of video quality and that is true it takes good video if it is focused before you start recording.
Summary: I have an Android phone that takes OK pictures, but I want to take great pictures of my kids and during trips. SLR cameras and even Canon's Advanced High End Digital Cameras are too bulky for me. They also have a lot of features that I never use, so I decided to buy one of Canon's ELPH cameras.
Summary: I loooove Canon PowerShots, I've owned roughly 6 of them in the past 6 years (Yes, SIX) and every time one breaks, I go and purchase the next and newest PowerShot model because I love them so much.
