Summary: As with many reviewers of this product, I am a Canon user and fan from way back, owning and operating several Canon film and digital cameras. I purchased this camera as a gift, so this review is based on both my own limited run-through of it's features, and feedback from the giftee.
Summary: I honestly haven't even tried most of its features and I'm sure it can do a whole lot more than what I'm using it for, but so far great pictures and pretty user friendly. It might even be too high tech for me which is why I gave it 4 stars, but for most ppl that's a good thing.
Summary: We've had this camera for a few years now and it still works great. I don't tinker with manual settings, and I have been pleased with the various shooting modes. (I have not used all of them) What I love: - small size - good, powerful zoom without a bulky lens - nice colors - good night scene...
Summary: We took this as our only camera on a 3 week trip to Indonesia. The anti-shake capabilities are amazing--I was able to take crisp photos at night at full zoom. The automatic mode works well, and I used several of the program modes for special situations.
Summary: I read the small booklet that comes with the camera but I still haven't mastered it yet. Suggest that you play with it for a good while before taking serious photos. The large screen is nice. The touch screen is not all that user friendly and is a little slow to respond to touch.
