not as good quality as I expected

Brenda R, Amazon
15 August 2010
  • Summary: I have had Canon point and shoots for years. I got this one, and I am having difficulty with blurriness. I would like to return it, but I was out of town and didn't get it done. Overall disappointed in the quality of my pictures. When set on Automatic it takes forever to focus and shoot.

  • Summary: I bought this camera to take quality pictures at our son's wedding. The pictures were blurry. I can't get those pictures back again. I bought the 4 GB memory card and it didn't fit in the camera. I had to use my old card.

Not a fan

  • Summary: I purchased this camera to take on vacation to Disneyland. I guess I shouldn't have expected great picture quality out of a point and shoot, but I honestly thought it would be a little better. Unless you are very close, and the subjects are stone still you will get blurs and grain.

Blurry indoor photos

Atomic1, Amazon
17 April 2010
  • Summary: The size and weight of this camera are great. It's exactly what my wife wanted for Christmas. Unfortunately, this camera does not take good photos compared to our previous cannon's. It definitely has major focusing problems in indoor environments where our old cameras never had a problem.

Nice camera, but audio noise (humm) when recording video was the deal breaker.

  • Summary: I was looking for a portable camera option for capturing moments (pictures and video) when I just did not want to haul around my DSLR (Canon 40D) and lenses. I researched more than 10 cameras and decided on the Canon SD780IS. This camera is extremely portable and fit the bill perfectly.
