Excerpt: I have been using this camera since Dec 2013 . I have been trying hard to get sharp photos from it even in ambient light. I am using Tam SP 28-75 f2.8 lens and images appear too soft when aperture wide open. This happens even with 50mm 1.8. I am worrying of my choice of buying this camera. I am not so sure if my gear if defective or not. I had sent my camera to Canon Service center and canon quotes that my camera is flawless but still i end up soft images.
Excerpt: I have 2 Canon Rebels and was ready to upgrade to a better model. 70D has great auto-focus and a fast shutter speed. I shoot mostly landscapes and nature photography. Looking forward to mild weather so I can enjoy really putting it to use. The only negative is the advance frame dial is sometimes not real responsive to touch in going backwards, but you can also turn the dial or use the the touch screen when it gets a little sticky.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality
Summary: Canon 70D is a 5* camera and the two lenses included are also 5*. I did not experience the so-called auto focus problems discussed on the web with the two included lenses and my own Canon EF lenses. Photo color is very good. Video is great and very quite during zooming with the included lenses. However I gave this camera/lens bundle 3* due to the frequent need of swapping the two included lenses. 18-55 mm is just not enough zoom for normal traveling need.
Excerpt: My new 70D is an upgrade from a 20D I have used since 2005, also bought from B&H. I use it mostly for family events, business photos, and outdoor nature shots. What is great: same basic Canon interface, better focusing (the dual pixel is great), articulating LCD, and improved controls. What is not so great: same basic Canon interface from ten years ago. I have not tried the WiFi yet, but I hear it is finicky.
Pros: Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Good Image Quality, Tilt /Swivel LCD
Excerpt: i really like the new features of this camera. I am still working on the wifi feature. It handles low light better than my Canon T3i. I love the touch screen. This makes it easier to change settings on the fly.
Excerpt: Best DLSR for video on the market today and is why I now own two of them. They are easy to use and very dependable. Great for HD video production. This is my second 70D by canon. That tells you just how much I love this camera.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet, Tilt /Swivel LCD
