Summary: Am just beginning into the world of SLR cameras but am quite happy with the purchase. The lenses I have used on it - also from Canon - produce outstanding photographs. Recommend the corresponding "for Dummies" book - it has been very helpful in learning about my camera in an informative and easy to understand way.
Summary: I am not a professional photographer just a hobbyist and this will not be a real technical review. This camera was bought as an upgrade from my Rebel T3. Needed only the camera body, already have 3 lenses. I do a lot of Macro shots, and when shooting close to the ground with a tripod the Touch Screen is very helpful. Images are nice and sharp using this camera and a 90mm macro lens. And the sharpness really helps when editing them for selective color.
Summary: Canon's Rebel T5i may be just incrementally improved over a well-based T3i/T4i, but as a novice, I've thoroughly enjoyed learning photography on this model. It's just "pro" enough to feel pleased with my work, and the extensive functionality available even in Automatic shooting mode make it hard to take a bad shot.
Summary: The T5i has been incredible so far with so much more to learn and do. The build is amazing, with an astonishing capture ability that spreads the spectrum from dark to bright, fast action to long exposure. Truly a great step for the amateur photographer who is looking to step up from the cell phone quality, and experience the art of photography.

SHE DOESNT BOTHER ME TO DO THINGS ANYMORE SHE DOESNT BOTHER ME WHILE IM TRYING TO DO THINGS ANYMORE SHE GOES OFF AND SHE TAKES AMAZING PICTURES buy this for your girlfriend so you can go back to doing man stuff.
