Excerpt: This is an update to my post from 12/16 now that I've had an opportunity to play with the camera. This is my first DSLR. I've always been a Canon fan. In my film days I used a Canon AE-1 Program. This package provided everything I needed to get going. Recent previous cameras include PowerShots. This is a great leap back into the SLR world. Camera feels solid and takes great pictures.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet, Tilt /Swivel LCD
Excerpt: Bought this camera for my son, who will use it for its video capacity. Since he's still learning, I figured this is a great entry-level camera, rather than shelling out $1000+ for a higher end camera. When he gets to that point, I'll just turn over my Markll to him, and I'll be gettin' the upgrade!! And you can be assured that purchase will be made thru B&H....Always the BEST!!!
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Shutter Speed, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: I have several Canon cameras and I purchase others because of my favorable experience. I added the T5i to combine the quality of an SLR with the articulating screen and Live View. Based on previous experience I was looking for a spot focus option which I use frequently on my 5d Mk II. It took a while but I learned about viewing the subject on the Live Screen view and then touching the screen where you want to focus.
Pros: Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Good Image Quality, Large Clear LCD, Tilt /Swivel LCD
