Summary: If you're not getting paid for your photos, this will be all the camera you'll ever need. You can attach any Canon lens made for DSLRs (or third-party lenses with Canon mounts). Add any accessories you need. The battery grip is great for extended shooting. Add an LED video light or a flash, etc. Video mode on this camera is excellent, and if you use one of the new USM lenses for quiet focusing, you'll be set.
Summary: I love this camera! It really does the job for a person that does not have a good understanding in taking semi-pro pictures. I used a lot only on the manual settings and after one week I could create very nice pics but I still have a lot to learn on this field. Get a Sandisk card with it so you will not have problems taking several pics straight or making movies in 1080p.
Summary: Photo quality with the 4Ti is really good. If you are comfortable with an SLR and not intimidated by a ton of options you should buy this camera. Great still, even in automatic modes and the video quality is unbelievable.
Summary: I am a college student who is taking a double major in Journalism and Studio Production. I have a 3.8 GPA, PTK,ISLP,MENSA, and always make the deans list. I use the DSLR cameras for both video and still photography. This is my second Canon T4i as I wanted a matched set for a video project I am working on this year for an internship. The T4i, 650D is a great camera for video and still photography on a budget.
Summary: Having been a Canon camera person for many years I decided to go with this, It's my 3rd digital, so I had an idea what to look for and the price was in my affordable range. Range finder and SLR combined, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, just know this is a complex, but simple too, camera. You can go automatic and let the tool decide or pretend you have some control over the artistic process.
Summary: This is my first new DSLR since the D20... I left the DSLR family for the world of point & shoots. I came back for it's ability to do high quality video. I am so far pleased with the results, of course I am not using the built in mic, because it stinks. I originally went for the t3i, then learned about the t5i, and not until after doing research did I realize there was a t4i.
