Not as good as T2i or T3i
10 January 2013
Summary: I have used the T2i for a long time and really thought this would be an upgrade. Much to my amazement it was not. I am not a professional, but do take a lot of pictures so do understand the adjustments needed. After using it for a few days and 600+ pictures later I decided to return it and go with the 60D. My unprofessional opinion is that it is the new Hybrid sensor, I beleive it is geared more for the video then stills.
Summary: I ordered this camera for my wife for Christmas. When I received it, I was thinking the box had been open and was not secure. Then I opened the box and the instruction books were not in original packaging. Hopefully, this camera is the new one I ordered and paid for and not refurbished. Concerns me very much.
Summary: Please dont but this bundle the reason being except the Canon T4i everything is bundle is very cheap and inferior quality and most of time this we can other stuff for any where from $ 5- 10 on the online. i am not happy with Tripod and Camera bag and whole bundle doesn't fit and not WORTH... Finally my advice to everybody DON'T BUY ..ITS NOT WORTH AT ALL!!!
Summary: The low light performance was weak. Once the 2nd recall came out I just returned it... [...] Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cameras and contact Canon U.S.A. to have replacement rubber grips installed free of charge.
Summary: I see quite a few 5D mark ii like new at $1600 on Ebay so I find it very difficult for anyone to justify buying a 7D for about the same price. I know we are talking about the T4i here which I will get to. People just don't know the major difference since they don't own a full frame. I would go for picture quality first instead of fancy new features. My prediction is crop sensor will be a thing of the past and would evolve totally to mirrorless for the casuals.
Summary: Beware - I've just received a camera which is "AFFECTED PRODUCT" according to Canon Product Advisories. From Canon site: " The front rubber grips of some units of the Canon EOS REBEL T4i Digital SLR camera (EOS 650D/EOS Kiss X6i overseas models) may change color (turn white) after a short period of time. Customer support for this phenomenon is described below. ...
Summary: Pictures are clear, features robust, but good video absent. This Camera makes too much noise on AF (auto focus). While shooting videos, this will ruin the video. Pictures won't come out clear, and neither would video, if AF is turned off or set to Manual. The AF function is very loud and you can't really do without it. Probably won't affect taking pictures, but taking videos, you will hear loud mechanic sounds recorded into video.
Summary: Don't be fool as this is not a new sensor but the same old technology with T2i. The only difference is the digic 5. But unless you shoot jpg, you won't see the difference. The reasons to buy this camera are: a) you have canon lens already but don't have a body, get a T2i and you will have the same image quality. b) you don't own any camera, then get a Nikon D3200 or Pentax K-5. These two are the 2 best camera with cropped sensor. You know why?
Summary: Ordered my camera, loved it. BUT GUESS WHAT! After a while i realised it had given me a rash. Did some RESEARCH, AND GUESS WHAT! MY CAMERA WAS AFFECTED MY RECALL!! It has given me an allergy and it is just GREAT! BEFORE YOU USE THIS CAMERA CHECK YOUR SERIAL NUMBER. IF THE SIXTH NUMBER IS A ONE IT IS AFFECTED.
