This camera is amazing! Anybody coming from a older Canon Camera

Terry Caquelin, Amazon
21 December 2014
  • Summary: This camera is amazing! Anybody coming from a older Canon Camera, expect to be able to make use of your lens collection and flashes. The video recording is good, Picture capture is excellent as expected from pro-consumer camera. I like the combination of being able to touch the menu items or use the old jog buttons. Coming from a film rebel to this model, everything is almost in the same place, no need to learn something completely new.

Great Entry-Level Camera

Bluec00kie, Souq
14 November 2014
  • Excerpt: This is a great entry level dslr, i love the swivel monitor there's a bit of a learning curve for this little gadget, specially if you dont have any experience in handling slr's. the kit lens is fantastic for portrait pics, If you want better pictures from your run of the mill point & shoot digital cameras, this is a very good option.
  • Pros: The price and the specs, this is a great deal.
  • Cons: Camera Build & OS

Great Camera with a Few Quirks

Paul & Shaelin Maurer, Amazon
28 October 2014
  • Summary: A very nice camera. It takes great pictures. I bought it when it was on sale for Christmas 2012. The biggest difference between this and the T3i is the touchscreen. I wasn't going to pay extra for what I viewed as a gimmick, but due the sale the T4i and T3i were the same price, so I got the newer model. I must say, I use the touchscreen extensively and find it more intuitive and faster than the standard buttons for changing advanced settings.

Disasterous defect & no support

Annu, Amazon
16 September 2014
  • Summary: This is an extremely bad product for the price you are paying out here. Buying a canon, you would think you dont have to worry about a camera for the new few years, but this model typically goes out without a warning pretty soon. Ours was taking pictures one second and the next, it got locked in the live view mode and none of the dials on the camera worked anymore.

I love mine!

Fritosgirl, Amazon
21 August 2014
  • Summary: I love my Canon T4i! I purchased this a few months after the recall debacle and before the T5i announcement. Honestly? I love this camera. It has allowed me to not only take professional photos, but also to make professional online videos. It's amazing how even a novice can take great looking photos with this camera and a basic lens. This camera has a nice weight to it and is pretty sleek looking. The grip pad feels nice to the touch.

So I wanted to see if a novice like me could take my game to the next level ...

anonymous, Amazon
8 August 2014
  • Summary: I am an armature photographer but I have never owner a camera over $200. So I wanted to see if a novice like me could take my game to the next level and handle an expensive camera like this. Within minutes of Unboxing it I was taking nice shots of my dogs with a nice soft focus in the background. Within a few weeks I was taking *epic* post card shots of scenery and friends and family.
