The Canon EOS 60D is a digital camera that supports a single-lens reflex lens and features built-in flash, support for SD/SDHC/SDXC card, via external media (USB v.2.0 hard drive, or via Wireless LAN (Eye-Fi card)); and records 0.88 x 0.59 in. / 22.3 x 14.9mm (APS-C size) image size. It is compatible with Canon EF lenses (including EF-S lenses) (35mm-equivalent focal length is approx. 1.6x the lens focal length), and is powered by a high-sensitivity, high-resolution, large single-plate CMOS sensor that provides users with 18.0 Megapixels: 5200 (H) x 3462 (V) pixels images. It supports 3:2 (Horizontal: Vertical) aspect ratio, RGB primary color filters system, fixed position in front of the CMOS sensor, Dust Deletion Feature with Self Cleaning Sensor Unit, Dust Delete Data appended to the captured image and Manual cleaning of sensor; and is designed for Camera File System 2.0 and Exif 2.3 file format. Supporting up to 17.90 Megapixels (5184 x 3456) image capture in RAW or JPEG or simultaneous recording, the Canon EOS 60D features several picture styles (Standard, Portrait, Landscape, Neutral, Faithful, Monochrome, User Def. 1-3); white balance settings (Auto, Daylight, Shade, Cloudy, Tungsten Light, White Fluorescent Light, Flash, Custom, Color Temperature setting); 9 AF Points (Cross-type, Center AF point with dual cross sensor for f/2.8); and Metering Modes (maximum aperture TTL metering with 63-zone SPC with the following selectable modesJ.

The Canon EOS 60D is a digital SLR that is supported by an 18.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor for optimized image quality and speed; ISO 100 - 6400 (expandable to 12800) for shooting from bright to dim light; and EOS HD Video mode with manual exposure control, expanded recording, Movie Crop recording in 640 x 480, sound recording level adjustment and an external microphone IN terminal for access to optimize sound quality. The camera also features a Vari-angle 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor for shooting at low angles and 1,040,000-dot VGA with reflection reduction using multi coating and high-transparency materials for bright and clear viewing. It supports 5.3 fps continuous shooting up to approximately 58 Large/JPEGs and 16 RAW; a 96% viewfinder coverage allowing users to see more of their image in the viewfinder; enhanced iFCL 63-zone, Dual-layer metering system; and 9-point AF system utilizing a high-precision, f/2.8 cross-type center point; and in-camera features that allows them to convert RAW images into JPEGs and set the images to a 3:2 aspect ratio.
