Worth It.

  • Excerpt: I use the Canon 5D Mark III for shooting video. The only downside to this camera is the lack of an auto-focus feature in video mode. Aside from that, I love everything about it. I get professional quality video for a fraction of the cost. Well worth the investment.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet
  • Cons: No Auto-focus For Video

Wow

  • Excerpt: An incredible camera. The goodies make it that much better. Grip, batteries, charger, SD card, yadda yadda? Screaming deal. Oh, the pictures? If you havent't figured it out already, this camera is amazing. Compared to my 7D, it is more solid, and the low light performance is off the charts. Only drawback is outdoor sports photography, and maybe bird photography, due to the lower frame rate.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Reliable
  • Cons: Fps

GREAT CAMERA

  • Excerpt: This camera is nice to have, but if you're a portrait photographer that only shoots people and events get the 6D. I have it as a back up and the camera can perform better than the 5d MK3 any day on lowlight. I shot the 5d MK3 at 6400 iso and the pictures are way grainier than the 6D. Keep your money get the 6D and invest in glass. for video and action sports the 5d is a must over the 6D. Over all I don't regret buying the MK3, its nice to have built like a tank...
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Good Image Quality
  • Cons: Noisy At High ISO

Obviously a great camera, but very heavy - likely for serious work only

  • Summary: Look, I'm not qualified to review this camera. Most of the magazines say it's great. You won't buy or not buy this camera based on my review. This is what I can say. This is not for taking on vacation to take snap-shots with. It is big and really heavy. You'll want some kind of super-strap to carry it with. It's for more serious photography. And, it is hard to hold still. You might want a monopod.

Best Deal Ever for 5D MarkIII

  • Excerpt: I was looking for a Canon 5D mark III for a long time. But could not resist myself from getting this in such a super saver deal. There's nothing to add much about 5D its best we all know. The Printer PRO-100 was really very good. The quality is superb. The gadget bag is also very spacious and of good quality. Though the installation software CD for PRO-100 was not working, but as per manual I got it from Canon Website.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet

  • Excerpt: I had coveted the 5d3 since it's announcement date, and the 5d2 long before that. After "settling" for almost 2 years with my t4i I decided that my bank account was big enough where it was time to upgrade. Upon getting it I immediately liked the improved heavy feel and larger grip for my hands.

  • Excerpt: I wish to thank Canon for producing a Camera (5D Mark III) that could take everything nature threw at it. I started off in a Rain Forest where it was raining. No problem. I continued into a salt desert with very hot temperatures. No problem. Then we continued to Galapos, and once again spectacular photos. Again no problem. We continued to the southern most city in South America and endured cold, humidity, fog, and rain. No problem.
