  • Excerpt: I've used this gear (EOS 50D) since September 2010 and I've still enjoyed and satisfied for all components, especially for best picture result, it's great!! I still don't have a plan to change the gear otherwise if I already have money to upgrade to 7D or 6D!

  • Summary: I ordered the used 50D. I got it in with the camera and lens only, none of the excessories. That was fine for the price I got the camera. The camera and lens are like brand new and work great. I love the how extremly good the pics are. Over all I am very satisfied and love the price I got the camera and lens for.

  • Excerpt: Yes I have taken over one hundred thousand shots with my two. 50D s and like them a great deal. I never feel inadequate when I see much more expensive cameras in use. My 50d's get the job done well. My 40 D was an enjoyable camera but not as good as the 50D ! So I swapped it for a 50 D giving me a brace of em. The 50D s are reliable and professional in every way. The only upgrade they benefit from is a grid screen.

  • Summary: I love this camera. It is a very very nice camera. I have one complaint though. It horrible with Red eyes. I have read the manual, changes setting over and over, and in the end.....I still have to fix EVERY single picture by hand for red eye.

Much better than xTi

  • Summary: I have been using this camera for last one year. Just to let you know I am a serious amateur photographer who takes mainly landscape photo and sometimes portrait of my kids. My main lenses are: 50mm 1.4, 17-55mm 2.8 and kit lens (28-135mm). First of all, this is a good camera. Good in a sense than it is better than Nikon D90 for its ISO performance (low light), focusing, metering and shutter speed. It has ISO 100 which helps you to take long exposure picture.

  • Excerpt: The 50D is one of my favorites, and destine to be a Canon classic. Canon has taken all they have learned from the 20D, 30D, and 40D and created a more refined instrument in the 50D. I have had the camera for several months, and it has yet to disappoint me. The images are super clean, and the color spectrum is stunning. This particular sensor is capable of making very clean images up to at least 1600 iso. I routinely shoot images at 800 iso, without issues.

Very good picture quality, highly customizable settings.

  • Summary: I have owned the Canon EOS 50D since the summer of 2009 and found it to be a truly great camera. The picture quality is only limited by the rather average quality of the lens - the 18-200mm Canon IS lens is not the one for highest quality sharp images but it IS a very useful lens which covers almost the entire range of wide angle to medium zoom.
