Still take great pictures after 4 years

P. Ratsavong, Amazon
8 March 2013
  • Summary: I bought this camera way back like in 2009 for around 640 dollars from Newegg. It was one of my best investment I made. It came with 2 lenses 18-55 and 55-250 zoom lenses. Coming from a point and shoot, the pictures blew me away. Since that time I have invested in multiple filters and also bought the 50mm 1.8 lenses for it. It hasn't given me any problems and it still take great pictures. I have archive over thousands of pictures of my kids and nature with this camera.

Great for DSLR Beginners!

  • Excerpt: About a year ago, I jokingly told my husband I wanted a DSLR camera, even though I didn't have a clue how to use one. Imagine my surprise when I opened one up on my birthday! He spent some time researching a good beginner's DSLR and decided on the Canon EOS Rebel XSi. When I first took it out of the box, I didn't know much about using it, other than just putting it in it's Auto mode and I was very pleased at the quality of photos I started taking.

The Canon EOS 450D is the best camera I've ever owned.

  • Excerpt: After much debate on what to get for my first DSLR, I bought the Canon EOS 450D. I already had compatible lenses, so I just bought the body. It's lightweight and easy to use. The many different settings are great for those just starting out, while the Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Program Auto, and full Manual settings are great for people like me who learned the bulk of their camera knowledge years ago on film SLRs or who just want to get away from auto modes.

  • Excerpt: i seriously cannot say enough great things about this camera! I am head over heels in love with it! =) I am, by no means, a professional photographer and this camera helps me to hide it! =) It is easy to use and has so many different settings to improve any picture! It is the best digital camera for the every day person that I have ever found! It is light and easy to transport. (no need for an enormous camera bag that screams "tourist"!

This Canon Rebel Xsi was the best christmas present I ever got

  • Excerpt: I have always loved to take pictures, and felt like my point and shoot camera was not capturing the memories quite like I wanted. Last year, my family purchased the Canon Rebel XSi for me and I swear it was the best present I've ever received. While it took me a little while to figure out how to navigate around the manual modes, I am now pretty confident in how I use it. It takes beautiful images, and probably the best part is that it takes them so quickly!

  • Excerpt: My husband and I always wanted a digital SLR camera, but could never afford one.  Finally, we decided to splurge with some Christmas money last year and bought the Canon Rebel XSi SLR Digital Camera.  We LOVE this camera so much and use it on a weekly basis. Pros: *It is affordable and great quality for an SLR.  We paid about $750 for it, which included both the 18-35mm lens as well as the telephoto lens (I believe its 18-75mm or so?), carrying case, software, etc.

  • Excerpt: I wanted to get into handling photography in a professional manner (more than your usual point and click) and invested in this camera along with a 55-200mm lens and a add-on flash. Great combo, having so much fun with it. I'd recommend this camera if you are planning on taking photography seriously.
