Summary: I used to take a lot of pictures when I was younger but had kind of gotten away from it, but my son bought a really nice expensive camera and has been asking me to go with him to take pictures so I needed my own camera and this fits my needs for an entry level digital SLR. I got the nifty 50 lens to go with it and I am having a blast planning little photo shoots with my son!!
Summary: I was looking for a reliable camera for nature photography and ended up getting the 75-300mm zoom lens to go with it. I would recommend getting the lens new, but the silver body looks almost brand new. It is very sturdy, but I would still be careful with it. After all, if you are making an investment every penny counts, right? Contact the seller. Mine was very helpful. Also, make sure your lens fits.
Summary: A friend of mine brought her Rebel to my house so we could take pictures of a litter of puppies that I had bred. My old camera was always that little bit too slow. I have a good eye for a picture BUT I am by no means a professional at the job and this camera is great for people like me who love to point and shoot but also great for those who know what they are doing.
Summary: This was the first DSLR camera I ever bought. i loved it. It was so easy to use and get used to! It takes amazing pictures! I had just the lens that comes with it for so long, but eventually I had some more and fell in love even more!!!! I had this camera for over 4 years before i got the error99 and the shutter won't open. It's broken my heart. It will always have a special place in my heart!!! Because I will get it fixed and use it again.
Summary: THIS IS THE SECOND XTI CAMERA THAT I HAVE BOUGHT. MY SON IS AN PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTER AND ARSON INVESTIGATOR. WE BOTH USE THE SAME CAMERAS FOR FIRE PHOTOGRAPHY. DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF EXTRA BELLS AND WHISTLES. I AM GOING TO PURCHASE A THIRD ONE SOON. THIS IS ONE OF CANONS BEST.
Summary: I've had this camera for over four years. Great camera, fantastic photos, easy to use, easy to control. I've bought two more lenses for it and I've never had an issue there, either. Great choice!
Summary: I bought my XTi in June of 2007, and it's been taking wonderful photos since. Fast, spot on exposure (though I rarely use auto), and great, clear, correctly-colored photos. Now this isn't rare by any means, and in my opinion, if a camera doesn't last at least five years it's worthless. However, the amount of insanity that this camera has been through makes me wonder what's keeping it together.
