Very nice "older" DSLR that get's the job done with quality pictures.

fcdias, Ebay
2 August 2014
  • Summary: Great camera especially if you buy it used. When used to take photos to distribute on the web, email , etc, the pictures display true to life colors and overall very good quality.

Only wish it were new

Amazon Customer "Always keep your words soft ..., Amazon
6 September 2013
  • Summary: I bought this used and is extremely happy. It is my first DSLR camera and since I am a novice it would be a good tool to get my feet wet in the use of a professional camera. Also ordered lens so this weekend I will be trying them out because I have a cake for delivery.

Great camera

Julie Anne Rein, Amazon
26 January 2013
  • Summary: This is a relatively simple camera that produces high quality pictures. I had one, dropped it, and this replaced it. I was glad to find one refurbished on Amazon for a good price. Just in time to capture our last days in town before moving across country

Impressed! (a 2003 camera in 2012 technology...)

Kaja Swenson, Amazon
13 March 2012
  • Summary: This camera is nearly a decade old. This review was written in March 2012 and this camera came out in 2003. I bought it because I was interested in beginning photography, and didn't want to spend too much. So I bought an older model to get the feel.

Great Beginner's SLR

JM, Amazon
20 November 2011
  • Summary: Overall, this is a great camera, never had a problem with it. This was my first true SLR, and I've taken it many places and taken many pictures with it while learning how to really take pictures versus just pointing and shooting.

Still an excellent workhorse

TechWriter "None", Amazon
16 November 2010
  • Summary: The Rebel XT was the smallest, lightest Canon digital SLR ever made at the time (and perhaps still). For anyone who doesn't want to lug around something large and heavy, but who wants the quality and speed that only a DSLR can deliver, this camera remains a top choice.

Awesome camera...okay battery

first time mama, Amazon
11 December 2007
  • Summary: I'm a complete amateur, but I love this camera. It's relatively easy to use and the manual is WAY easier to understand than the one that came with my Powershot S2IS. The only problem I have with it--which I admit could be owner malfunction--is the battery life.

First, then Second Impressions

Boogaloo, Amazon
21 August 2007
  • Summary: This review is exactly what I wish someone had explained to me before jumping into the fire with D-SLR. The body gets five stars for meeting the goal of a nicely capable D-SLR that tends to get slight nods over any other, such as Nikon's D40 series, which comes with a reasonable lens.

No CF card

NW Corner, Amazon
16 July 2007
  • Summary: I just got this camera as a gift. It came in a timely fashion. I have a Canon EOS 650 so many of the features are similar. I was disappointed that there was no CF card included in the box. There is nothing in the description of the product that states the CF card is sold seperately.

A pleasant surprise

Bob Jetski, Amazon
15 June 2007
  • Summary: The Amazon service was prompt and the price was reasonable. The product is much better than expected. Until I discovered the proper placement of my thumb, I made a few mistakes by unintentionally pressing various buttons on the back of the camera, but that was my error.
