Excerpt: This was wonderful starter DSLR for me. It introduced me to the digital photography world and takes great all around photos. It allows a new user to learn and then advance to using the manual settings. Price is what drove me to purchase this camera origanally in a kit. It was a 10mp entry level camera that I could learn with and not break the budget.

Excerpt: what i love about the canon Eos digital rebel is that it takes the most best photographs on the markent .it's nice sulk body makes it look cool . tho there is some drawbacks it's kind of heave and it's pretty big ,but depend do you what to do photography for a job or just for fun that is what you need to think .this cameras is also good for the beginners because it is easy to use and well if you know how to work a canon power-shot then you should be able to work...
"OK camera for casual shooter, not for an advanced user."

Pros: - cheap - small (good for backpackers, not pocketable though) - light - fast - easy to use after P&S camera - good AF
Cons: - small (ain't happy about the grip, in fact only 4/3 have worse grip) - light (ain't exaclty stable with telelenses) - advanced user will need Av, Tv modes instead of presets - ISO limited to 1600 - smallish viewfinder - feels like a cheapo in hands
