Love this little camera, just a few problems with it.

Summary: This is a GREAT starter camera for the aspiring photographer. It really helps you to start to learn the different camera settings if you are just moving on from a point-n-shoot. You honestly would have a very difficult time jumping into a loaded primo camera.
Summary: I am very fond of Canon products, however I think there is something missing with this camera, you can take great shots with daylight but unfortunately you have to be very patient when waiting the camera to autofocus at night. IA mode is also quite dumb when selecting the subject to focus.
Summary: My brother bought this camera and the pictures were so great, I had to get one for myself. I love it and have taken some great pictures in the Smoky Mountains with the fall colors. Shipment was fast and a great price.
Summary: Lovely camera. It was a great replacement for a previous Sony digital camera. The picture quality is awesome and the special feature are fun too. I highly recommend canon cameras to anyone in the market for a digital camera.
Summary: Right to the point. I have used many point and shoot cameras over the years. Not all of them were Canon cameras. I've purchased the Canon 50D camera but wanted a smaller camera to carry around. I choose the Canon SD990 IS, 14.7 MP camera.
Summary: i love this camera. I have an SLR and always end up using this camera to take my pics anyway. Im about to sell my SLR and just stick with this camera. The colors that this camera catches is beautiful and vivid. ive been very happy with this camera.
Wonderful Camera. Everything you need in a point and shoot.

Summary: I've taken this point and shoot in small airplanes, hiking in Guatemala, backpacking, and along on kayaking river trips. I've dropped it numerous times. I've gotten it wet (not submerged). It's got some dings in it but still performs nicely.
