Summary: Originally purchased Dec. 2008 and now after more than 2 years, still loving this little camera! Still takes crisp, clean images and is so easy to use. Part of the battery door compartment broke the other day but the battery door still locks in place so I will keep on using it. This is simply a great point and shoot camera with good battery life.
Summary: first off, the battery life on this camera is incredible. this thing holds a charge for the longest time. i don't use it on an everyday basis, @ every 3 days or so, and the battery didnt get charged for @ 250 pictures and didnt really need it then. the charger is a really compact, folding plug in charger that is simple to use and store - keep it in the case with the camera or you might lose this little compact charger. the camera itself is sturdy and great looking.
Summary: I purchased the Canon SD770IS to replace a PowerShot A95. A couple years ago, I had purchased a Digital Elph for a family member and found myself using that much smaller and lighter camera, instead of my A95. Given advancements in technology, it was time to upgrade. The most important feature in looking for a replacement was small size and the use of a rechargeable battery. Pixel resolution was less a factor as the A95, with only 5 megapixels, produced sharp images.
Summary: As a travel writer I spend a lot of time at Walt Disney World, and Canon PowerShot Digital Elphs are the most common cameras I see. Families seem to love them, because they're so easy to carry and operate. About the size of a deck of playing cards, each of these "pocket cameras" really do slip right into a pants pocket, and their rectangular designs make them easy to grip. Best of all, they all take good photos. (How do I know?
Summary: I previously had a Canon PowerShot S110 digital ELPH from 6 years ago or so, and loved that camera. I didn't realize that there was so much more that a little camera could do! I researched the new Canon's out there (since I loved the ELPH), and decided on the SD770 IS for its compact design and features outlined well by others. This camera just blows me away. It takes amazing pictures in full-auto mode.
Summary: I upgraded from a previous model that I loved! I took it with me everywhere and it finally died. So I got this one, and it is every bit as good. It is everything I want in a little point-and-shoot digital camera. I put a screen protector on this one because I noticed the screen getting scuffed and scratched on my other one during my rock climbing, backpacking, and other daily and high adventures. But a reliable, perfect little camera!
Summary: I bought this camera for my wife to use for taking photos of our new baby. After having this camera recommended by a friend I picked it up on Amazon.com. The camera feels and looks solid and has a bright large LCD screen on the back. The camera is dummy proof and takes sharp images with out any manual adjustments. My only complaint is that it uses proprietary batteries.
Summary: Bought this for a trip around South America and couldn't be happier with how it worked. Excellent battery life, fair amount of options for those who don't have much experience taking pictures and the quality of the pictures were consistently good. Especially like the fact that it easily fit in my pockets and the fact that the battery charger had the plug built into it, therefore not requiring a separate cord. Camera also records decent video.
