Canon PowerShot SD770IS 10MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black)

Going to the SUN, Amazon
16 January 2012
  • Summary: Have been using this Canon PowerShot sd770IS compact digital camera since Feb 2010. I was hoping the image stabilizer would produce a picture with better resolution. Camera has been working well with no problems.

I like it

HPfan, Amazon
12 May 2010
  • Summary: I like everything about this camera except the zoom and the slow shutter. When it comes to taking pictures it's too close and doesn't zoom out too far either. The zoom works better while videoing but I rarely use that, I am more into taking pictures.

A very good camera for the price range and point-and-shoot pocket variety

Katie, Amazon
27 November 2009
  • Summary: I just noticed I never reviewed this camera I got for Christmas last year (2008). Well, let me tell you this is a great camera. Overall, pictures are crisp and sharp, colors are true to life and bright and features are adequate.

Great Little Camera

Jen "Jen", Amazon
11 April 2009
  • Summary: Nice camera. Very good pictures for a point and shoot. Main complaint is speed, which is an issue with any camera in this range. The IS works great. Not fast from shot to shot, but not bad for a small camera. Will work great for most people. Very small and can easily be put in purse or pocket.

Great point and shoot

David Dare, Amazon
7 April 2009
  • Summary: This is the third point and shoot that I've owned. This is light, compact, and takes a better photograph than my previous cameras. There are a lot of settings and I still haven't figured out how to best utilize them to achieve the best pictures in various situations.

Great Camera, Good Pocketablity, Perfect for Budding Photogs

J. D. Korwek "Vids, Pics, and Tricks", Amazon
4 April 2009
  • Summary: I bought this camera for two main reasons, it was cheap and it had good reviews. Both were dead on, The price is ~200$or less(depending on when you're reading this.)Exactly what a 3x optical 10MP camera should go for. Having Image Stabilization and being made by Canon didn't hurt either.

Nice camera, with faults

LowRisk, Amazon
23 February 2009
  • Summary: Nice little camera. Takes decent pictures. But the flash is anemic (don't use it for subjects more than 8 feet away) and doesn't like to be turned off. In fact, there doesn't appear to be a way to keep the flash off when using the camera in automatic mode.

Good quality photos but not totally intuitive process

DC barb, Amazon
16 February 2009
  • Summary: The camera is good but i did have to rely on the instructions quite a bit plus the memory card was ridiculous in size. I could barely get 10 shots on there so had to go back and order another memory card. I also had trouble getting Butterfly to respond to emails.

Overall excellent ULTRA compact, high performance camera

austin_Larry, Amazon
16 December 2008
  • Summary: It is obvious from when you open the box, that this camera is made by people who know cameras. It was also quite shocking to me how small the camera is, a little less than the size of a pack of cards. It is an Elph not just a Powershot so it is very small sized. Which is what we were looking for.

Trying to decide between a Canon SD1100, SD790 and this SD770?

ZenWoman, Amazon
2 December 2008
  • Summary: If you're trying to decide between these 3 digital elph models SD1100, SD770 and SD790 which fall in a similar price range, here's my take. I have used the SD1100 and SD790 extensively and SD770 is like an in-between hybrid. {The SD790 is actually the 2008 upgrade of 2007s very popular model SD750.
