Summary: As a Personal Fitness Trainer is makes it quick and easy to get accurate BF readings with having to pull out the calipers. This also save the client from being uncomfortale when doing measurements. I also like the memory setting for regular clients.
Summary: As an under $30 splurge, this is interesting the same way those little breathalyzer units are when drinking. If it makes me workout more, then it's worth its cost. Seems to be accurate enough to be a useful tool. Obviously, BMI function is for convenience only as it is a calculation based on your own input, not %BF.
Summary: I am a Private Strength and Conditioning Coach who uses the Omron for fitness evaluations. The product works well and gives consistent and accurate readings. It is especially useful for clients who have a high bodyfat % which makes it difficult to use a skinfold caliper. All and all I would recommend using the Omron as a simple way of monotoring one's BF% and BMI.
Summary: I have only had this product a week [...] I already knew this type of product wasnt considered very accurate for actual bf % but it provides a consistent reading to check your progress. Even though the numbers are high, they can be used to check progress.
Pros: Consistent, Easy To Use, Simple to set up and use
Summary: If you're going to get a resistive body fat analyzer, this is probably the best one to choose. Its decently made and easy to use. But like any of its genre, its subject to inaccuracies due to hand moisture, body hydration fluctuations, and various other issues. Be sure to use it at the same time each day, and with similar hydration. Some clues may be found in the book The 4-Hour Body. Calibrate your expectations, and you won't be disappointed.
Summary: We started a family challenge to get healthy & bought this to record BFI/BMI. The device is easy to use but doesn't store all the info I thought it would. I recommended to several family members and they too have purchased one.
