YPG-535 Grand Soft touch

Wallace, Yamaha
1 November 2013
  • Summary: Good keyboard. Initial keyboard purchased on line and quality control issues with middle C not working or working part time were problematic. Getting support from the dealer and then from Yamaha were frustrating. Customer support should have a real human aspect. Instrument is used to accompany others and teach lessons as well as student practice.
  • Pros: Portable, Pre-programmed music, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys
  • Cons: Challenging Defect

I recorded 8 CDs with YPG-535!

Sven Sundberg, Yamaha
23 February 2013
  • Summary: The 6-track recorder makes it easy to arrange songs with layered/multiple sounds and accompaniment. The Styles library even has 160 preset beats. I wish there were more styles, but the ones that are there have served me well.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Portable, Pre-programmed music, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Styles Are Great, Touch Sensitive Keys

"Excellent keyboard for the price!!"

By a customer from pacbell.net, zzounds.com
11 August 2011
  • Excerpt: The sound is very good, however, the gtand piano sound is close but not equal to the sound of an actual grand piano. Perhaps it is my hearing, but I do not notice difference in the tones between the various types of grand piano. I really like the flexibility of the various instruments that can be created. However, just like any electronic instrument, the tone quality is not quite as full as the real instrument.

"Grandest Portable Grand Piano"

By a customer from comcast.net, zzounds.com
12 July 2011
  • Excerpt: The Yamaha YPG-535 has a wonderful library of sounds, voices and tones. Exceptional voice styles for any type of music that you can dream up. We basically use ours for recording purposes and use it primarily for background tracks. The Grand Piano is especially warm and full in sound. When not running into our recording system, we run it through either an amp or the PA system and WOW.
