Excellent in Every Way

  • Excerpt: The Yamaha YPG-235 is perfect for musicians of every level. It is a wonderful instrument to learn on, and is light enough for professionals to transport to gigs. The sound and feel of the instrument are both very good. In addition, the drum beats are a great option that enhance and/or can be a nice alternative for a metronome.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Portable, Pre-programmed music, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys

  • Summary: It Had been 20 years since I bought my previous Keyboard. I was amazed at the advances that had been made. This is a fine instrument for my uses. playing for family gatherings. In fact we are starting a family band with grand children and great grandchildren all joining in. The documentation is great and the usb connection is superior over the old floppy disks. I love it. It sounds great.

Love it

  • Excerpt: I'm only a few weeks into this thing and have not been able to explore all the features, but I love it. Keys feel good (not cheap), sounds are good, speakers kick out a nice volume for solo play. Buttons are easy to operate and feel "substantial". In fact, the whole thing is surprisingly solid and advanced given the very affordable price. I bought this to brush up on my skills and teach my son ear training.

  • Excerpt: Straight forward and easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend for beginners and intermediate players as there are a variety of features/sounds you can choose from but is all around a good basic keyboard as well.

Awesome product at an Awesome price

MasterBlaster, Yamaha
24 January 2014
  • Summary: I took piano lessons for about 12 years when I was younger, and quit playing for 32 years. I had been wanting to start back playing, so I really wanted a keyboard that played like a piano. The YPG-235 is exactly what I was looking for, it is easy to play and it sounds good. I purchased the bundle package that included stand, bench, headphones and extra year warranty, and was very impressed with the quality of all of it for the price.

Even Better Than I Expected !!!

Master Blaster, B&H Photo
16 January 2014
  • Excerpt: I took piano lessons for about 10 years when I was younger, and haven't touched a piano in 33 years. I had been wanting to start back playing so I purchased this model because it has the same size keys. To make a long story short, I picked it right back up, and am enjoying playing and the keyboard. I haven't used any of the other instrument sounds because all I wanted it for was the keyboard- which is awesome.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Realistic Sound, Touch Sensitive Keys
  • Cons: Limited Sound Selection
