Great workstation,

  • Summary: My wife and I are retired. And in our retirement we travel around to churches, nursing homes, medical facilities and private parties and we play music and do magic. Previously, for my 50th birthday my wife had purchase a Yamaha 8000 which worked well for 18 years. Only 2 repairs and they were both minor, but it was time to update the keyboard and after some research we decided on the Tyros 4 and have not regretted this decision.
  • Pros: Ease Of Changing Sounds, Great Backgrounds, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action
  • Cons: Difficult to Use, Horrible Owners Manual, No Speakers

Fantastic Machine! But one serious flaw.

  • Summary: This is a wonderful keyboard. The sound quality and variety exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite features is the "Registrations" where you can save all the settings on the keyboard for whatever song you are working on, and then recall it later with the push of a button. And you can do this for dozens and dozens of different setups.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Portable, Pre-programmed music, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys

  • Summary: I play this keyboard mostly at home, but as soon as i have the opportunity to perform, i grab that chance. Response from the listeners is always positive. Mostly due to the realistic sounds, and the superb styles! Nobody expects so much variation from a accompaniment/style, but the Tyros delivers superb performance on that part. I love to use the styles, and the memory buttons for quick song/sound/style/microphone setup.
  • Pros: Awesome Styles, Great Feel Of Keys, Music Finder, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys
  • Cons: Sequencer Is Difficult
