Summary: We gave the keyboard to our then 7 year old daughter for her Christmas as she was getting a little music tuition at school and was showing a particular interest in piano. Having no knowledge of these things, we based our decision on other reviews and knowledgable friends' comments. The keyboard with its light up keys, easy to follow teaching guide and functions was an immediate hit, really acting as a catalyst to her interest.
Summary: I purchased this keyboard for a Christmas present for my child (2 1/2 years ago) who was interested in learning how to play the piano. It was recommended to me by a family member, and it has served well. Our daughter has now progressed onto grades and still plays it every day. This keyboard was worth the price, and a great piece of equipment for anyone wanting to learn how to play, tough, easy to use, the lights helped her at the start, but she does not use them much...
Summary: Initially bought a keyboard for my son from Amazon for Christmas. It arrived on time & I was more than happy. On receiving the keyboard I was told that he was looking for a keyboard with touch sensitive keys. The amazon return was straight forward with a credit coming through quickly. The new order came quickly & my son is delighted with the Yamaha EZ200-K. Next time I'll quiz my son a bit more but the service from amazon could not be faulted & the keyboard is great.
Summary: There is no adaptor included for this item. I bought one last year and there was. The keyboard itself is great but not having an adaptor is just crazy. Furthermore,if you live outside UK the adaptor will not be able to be delivered to you in any case. Amazon customer service not helpful at all.
Summary: I looked for the best value Keyboard for me and this still matches my brief. It has light up keys which are brilliant for learning the proper chords as opposed to those one finger cheats (But you can do one finger cheats if you want). Which keys do I play for 'C'? Press the 'C' note and the keys light up for the correct full chord notes. There is a colossal amount of different sounds/instruments. The grand piano really sounds grand. Several Drum kits.
Summary: The keyboard is the second identical one that I have bought. After buying one for my son's birthday two years ago I have bought a second one for the children that I care for I was so impressed. Easy for children as well as adults to use.
Summary: It looks good but sadly nothing informed me of the fact you would need an AC adaptor or a bunch of AA sized batteries to actually use it. Having neither I can say the ergonomics of the device are good and at least worth one star. I would not have been happy if I was giving this as a gift to find they cannot use it immediately. :) Now off to shop for an AC adaptor.
Summary: First of all i was afraid receiving a keyboard by airmail, but the representative of yamaha in Greece dont have ez200 on the list, so i tried and all went good. Its a great instrument! From day1 my 4,5 yo boy started to "play" with it and most of all, with a midi cable (unf. not included and they are not cheap) lighting keys work with the incoming, from the computer files, unless there are a lot of channels.
Summary: I got this as my girlfriend wanted to play around with the lighted keys. When the novelty wore off it sat in the corner gathering dust however one day I gave it a dust and started messing around with it. To be honest most of the inbuilt songs are simply too hard for the absolute beginner - instead I would recommend getting a good tutorial book or DVD series. I hooked this keyboard to the PC using a MIDI cable and used the Gigajam learning software.
