Roland GW-8 Workstation Customer Review

By a customer from hotmail.com, zzounds.com
12 April 2010
  • Excerpt: A wonderful keyboard for live playing. It has got superb sounds and very catchy styles. I own the European version, which also has ethnic, oriental and Indian tones (world tones). However I miss Whistle sound in this great workstation. Also, its a bit difficult to play style by turning beat off for a little while during live playing. As a whole its an amazing machine which can make the evenings memorable.

"a "consumer arranger keyboard" with pro sounds and features."

zzounds.com
10 October 2009
  • Excerpt: The sounds in the GW8 are a subset of the Fantom G.. are vastly superior to its predecessor the GW7.. Compared to other arranger keyboards in this price range this is simply excellent.

"Onboard sequencer is a waste."

By a customer from rediffmail.com, zzounds.com
1 September 2009
  • Excerpt: Sound quality is OK. But th effects are applicable only for live performance but not for recording. SO the sequencer section is very poor.

"outsanding arranger/synth combination."

By a customer from bellsouth.net, zzounds.com
24 February 2009
  • Excerpt: High quality fantom x and sonic cell sounds, it has even SRX expansion sounds as well. I can't believe this goes under 1 grand, it has full arranger functions and dedicated buttons, works as a synth as well.

" Very good material"

Lar Clobsay, Audiofanzine
11 January 2013
  • Excerpt: I have been using one an.Matériel scalable. I've tried several, Korg, Yamaha etc, but each has its advantages and shortcomings. I did not really like the keyboard slightly noisy. Very good quality price, professional it does not have to fade other more expensive keyboards. I would do the same choice.

" Reviews on ROLAND GW8-E" - cote

ouest, Audiofanzine
8 January 2013
  • Excerpt: 2 years I have followed since the Roland E 70, I followed all the developments. This one is interesting report "Quality-Price". What I find amazing is the USB connection to the computer and its compartment (registration, import, export etc..) By the USB facade, protected by a flap. AWESOME!
