Summary: I purchased one of these to use on the road with my Laptop. My biggest complaint is that the keys are not level across the keyboard. Some of the keys are higher than others. (Not by much mind you) but it doesn't give you a sense of quality. It doesn't effect the playback but it just doesn't look right. I have seen this reported by others and seems to be due to uneven spring tension.
Summary: If you're looking for a good midi-keyboard/controller (knobs, sliders) and need a few more keys to hammer out those scales, but don't care about the quality of the keys then get this. Personally I would pay extra for better quality keys as even my yamaha midi has better responsiveness however, I use this everyday and never get tired of it.
Good controller, marginal quality control this time

Summary: I'm sure this was once in a million, but one of the keys on mine is not flush with the others, like its spring is slightly stretched out... Not enough a problem to send it back, but bummed its not perfect. I'll probably fix it myself later, but... I would still recommend the keyboard, but if anyone at M-Audio reads this, turn the lights on over there, it's easy to see this problem.
Summary: This keyboard has so much good stuff going for it i don't even know where to start. The knobs and faders feel great and map to anything without much hassle at all, I've used them in Sonar, Reason, FLStudio, and Ableton inside of many many different VST synths, effects, and on every built in function that i could find, and every time they map easily, feel great and work extremely well! They keyboard is a little squishy feeling.
Summary: Fantastic product, at a great price, allows someone just getting into electronic music production to have a flexible midi keyboard without spending hundreds of dollars. Works -PERFECTLY- on my windows 7 64-bit pc, and using the most recent version of Ableton. buy it buy it buy it! as a newbie to electronic music production i recommend it to anyone starting out!
Summary: First let me state that I'm an amateur music producer who has mixed and produced only a few remixes but is striving to become a much better producer. With that said I was looking for a midi controller/keyboard to add to my arsenal. This midi keyboard is everything I wanted it to be. All the knobs and sliders and wheels have great tactile feeling and the keyboard is semi weighted so you have more feeling in your playing as well.
Summary: I got this keyboard for use with Reason 5, and it works wonderfully. The only downsides are that the keys are not fully weighted (which is fine considering the price) and there is a bit of a delay between the keypress and sound.
Summary: When I was browsing for midi keyboards, I was looking for something not too expensive, and also something transportable. This keyboard was exactly what I wanted. I had read complaints about latency issues and delay between key press and response from software, but I had no such problem. If you encounter this problem, it is most likely your drivers that are the cause. Use ASIO4All drivers, and there should be little to no latency.
Summary: I just got Garage Band on the Mac, and decided to pick up keyboard again after a lapse of many years. Just plugged it in and it worked. More functionality than I need--maybe more than I will ever need--but not expensive.
