Summary: I bought the LK-220 to be a step up for my daughter to use when she moves from her smaller piano, if she decides to do so. Well OK, I also wanted to take a stab at learning to play. I have been able to connect this device to my Ubuntu 10 PC and I have been using PianoBooster as a learning aid. The setup was painless as Ubuntu recognized the midi keyboard as soon as I plugged it in. Ran Fluidsynth and PianoBooster and off I went.
Pros: Easy to Use, Portable, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys
Summary: Sound is good. Lots of fun features. Am learning to play on it. In teaching mode lights go to next key after playing lit key when current key needs to be struck more than once. can be alittle confusing at first.
Pros: Easy to Use, Portable, Pre-programmed music, Realistic Sound, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys
Summary: Short battery life and inability to use any sort of rechargeable batteries is my only Con so far. Wouldn't even turn on with the new 1.6V NiFe batteries. And using 6 'AA' alkaline batteries every 3 hours isn't going to happen. So get a suitable power adapter.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great value, Pre-programmed music, Responsive / Good Action, Touch Sensitive Keys
