Summary: I am returning my third unit, as confirmed by tech support, which is defective. The first and second unit I tried had an odd issue of only playing one key on a poly patch. The non-function applied to only a few keys, and yet the others would work well.
Summary: this has been the most used device in my studio. all of the controls are easy to use and the keyboard has a great feel to it. for the price i would say this is easily one of the best controllers ive used.
Summary: I wouldn't buy this one again just because I need something more professional. The keys are very resistant and so are the pads. Yes you can change the sensitivity of the pads if you open it up and add layers of rubber.. But that is something that should've been taken care of in the factory.
Summary: The MPK25 is an excellent MIDI controller. Even though I took the specs into consideration it is bigger than I imagined. Besides for that is is perfect. Sturdy construction, good software, instantly recognize by virtually all major virtual instruments (Reason, Pro Tools, Native Instruments, FL...
Summary: this thing is extremely useful and convenient, however there were some things i didn't like as much. the knobs are a bit slow to turn and you have to hit the mpc pads surprisingly hard to get them to register the hit. overall very fast and intuitive.
Summary: I ordered this controller for a new pc I was building...once I plugged it in it automatically installed the drivers...then I tried to use it to control reason 5....does not show up on my devices?!!!! I contacted akai for help...after emails back and forth still just a paper weight!!!
Summary: The mpc note repeat function on the pads is one of the main reasons I bought this controller and it rocks. Takes a little bit of fiddling with the settings on your sequencer to get things going right, but once set up this keyboard works nicely.
takes a bit to get used to. pads are USELESS without modification

Summary: The keyboard, and controlling software is great. I really like Abelton Live after taking the tutorials! This comes with a older version of Abelton Live but it is a free download to get the latest version! Works great with my Macbook! The bad part is that the pads are not sensitive at all.
