Pro Audio Review
9 February 2009
  • Excerpt: Times change, but some things do stay the same. Take the MPC1000 ($1,499), the new junior member of the Akai MPC drum sampler series. Though it's about the size of a high school math textbook, it packs some serious punch both..

AKAI MPC1000

  • Excerpt: It's good for someone starting out, not sure full fledged productions could be made on this thing. Overall I would still try it out at a Guitar Center to see if you like it. [ read more on Audiofanzine ] I love the whole MPC brand, the 1000 makes it really affordable for us on a budget. BUT, the 1000 will not compete with the more expensive models for several reasons.

  • Excerpt: I use it for about 1 year. No I have not tried it but I was looking for something that is independent of a computer. That can be used without the need to bring a computer. And so it is perfect for that. What I like most is the ability to play with the sliders on the pitch, and also to trimer (set where the sample st...

  • Excerpt: With more than two years. Concerts, improvisations, residences ... I'm always happy. It controls my expanders and synths quietly, while providing a more than adequate sampler with a speed of creation.

" I do not separerais" - NamAjang

  • Excerpt: I use it for about a 1 year and a half, and I enjoy it like crazy, because of its "intuitive" as mentioned above. You can easily get a create a beat if we modicum of creativity. Value for money (600euro for me) seems honest. I would do this choice without hesitation, because it allowed me (being great beginner) to understand the basics of creati...

" No regrets" - yeezyjulien

20 October 2012
  • Excerpt: I have my mpc 1000 for 1 year but I have not found the time to use it for a few months. I admit I had a little trouble at the beginning to immerse myself in the record, as it is imperative to read it if you never had a machine like this before, but after some effort I am completely satisfied . What I like most is the ease and speed with which on...
