Large size and mosaic feature are awesome; but it has problems
5 October 2013
Summary: I really love this frame. It's a great size and the mozaic feature is awesome because it randomly displays multiple photos as 4x6 and 5x7 images at the same time. But it has a couple problems... Over time, the frame starts erasing or deleting parts of the photos. This eventually leads to corruption of the image files and then the frame locks up. It requires reloading all you images to correct the problem.
Summary: First love the size and multipix feature. I wish it had a remote! Does not recognize all files. Some file names had to be renamed. Does not show all images. Stops at the same images every time. I thought this should be a continuous shuffle of images, but it does not! Would not recommend this to anybody!
Summary: At one time this model was the only digital picture frame that would display more than one image at a time on the screen. That was great for a 14" screen when you had lots of pictures to show. I bought this one to replace an identical unit that I'd had for many years that finally died after being used 24/7/365. This new one is nearly identical. The only difference is the power pack puts out 12VDC instead of 9VDC.
Summary: This was my third Westinghouse LCD Picture frame (purchased all because I thought they looked the nicest at the time). ALL of the Westinghouse digital frames died within a year. I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM WESTINGHOUSE. So sad, their name brand use to be an American Staple back in my mom and dad days. Another American company putting out crappy products manufactured in other countries with just as bad support.
Summary: This frame looks nice and the picture quality is good, but only if viewed head-on. Off angle viewing is terrible. The worst is that the frame died after about nine months of continuous use in a well ventilated location. It shows a solid white screen, no menu access, and will not read SD of CF cards as a test to see if it would resume operation. Look for a better picture frame elsewhere.
Summary: I BOUGHT THIS FRAME ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF A GO. AFTER 1 AND A HALF YEARS OF 24 HOURS OF RUNNING THE SCREEN JUST WENT BLACK AND WOULD NOT TURN ON. ALSO, THE FRAME WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE SOME OF MY .JPG PICS AND I WOULD HAVE TO RESAVE THEM. AND IF YOUR 4 GIG MEMORY CARD HOLDS ABOUT 2 GIGS OF PICTURES THEN IT DOES NOT WORK. JUST DON'T BUY THIS THING.
Summary: Great picture with great resolution. I never could get the frame to recognize my memory card when I transfered photos from my HD and PhotoShop onto the card. I learned that you have to format a blank card in your camera and then download the photos from the computer. There is something called FAT 32 which is common with computers and PhotoShop but most cameras use FAT 16 formatting. This frame likes FAT 16 and won't recognize a card formatted with FAT 32.
Summary: Bought this frame on sale, lasted about 1 year...Viewing angle really is horrible, you have to stand right in front of it to see the pics. It does have a nice split screen/random showing of pictures..not worth the money...shop around.
