Summary: Bought this for my parents so they could take restoration photos of their car they restored to the car show with them. The photo frame presented a nice slideshow with optional music. We turned off the music and turned down the brightness but the charge still only lasted about three hours on the batteries. Besides that it has a good picturequality and electric adapter. It was hard to find one that ran off batteries and I see why. Limited battery life.
Summary: The frame itself is wonderful. BUT in very small, difficult-to-understand writing there are references to the need for adapters to permit use of some photo storage devices. If they are required, they should be included so that the user can be up and running asap. I will admit that I do not understand all technical references included with new products BUT this one comes off as utterly confusing.
Summary: The Sony digital photo frame is a good product. It is easy to load photos and intuitive in operation. While I am not a photographer, the photo quality looks very good to me. We have had this frame for 3 months now and it has been totally reliable for this short time. The ability to operate with internal battery is a nice feature when we want to take pics to friends. Recommended!
Good, but cannot retain date / time settings when powered off
14 March 2012
Summary: Everything about this frame is excellent, but there is this irritant. You need to keep it plugged on all the time, as it cannot remember the date and time settings when powered off for some duration. Or if there is a power outage for a while, all your settings are gone. This is really a pain. It's as good as power off for some time (probably a few hours) is equivalent to "reset all settings to factory settings"....wow!! Wonder how they miss out on such basic things.
Summary: This digital frame has everything that I wanted: clear picture, 4:3 dimension, auto on/off setting, large internal memory, and good price. It was a present for my mom during Christmas, and she has loved it. I looked at other products before buying this one. If you want something with a quality test and last a long time, this frame is for you.
Summary: I have been able to use the view mode button manually with no problem. The buttons all seem to be a little stiff, so it might be necessary to hold it down for a couple of seconds, and be sure it has clicked down all the way. I really like this frame. The only reason I removed a star is because I find it kind of awkward to use. It works and it's logical but I keep getting stuck and having to think how to get what I want. This might become easier with practice.
Summary: I've had this frame for a week and it worked great out of the box. I was up and running within minutes with photos loaded easily, direct from my computer. The little remote is very handy and comes with a battery which I am very happy about because I'm not sure how to open it. I really like the slide show setting of "Time Machine" -- at first I thought it showed the current date and time in the bottom right corner, but it actually shows the date and time the photo was...
