User Review

  • Excerpt: It's definitely one of the top digital photo frames on the market. Quality resolution and sound. I liked that when you rotate the frame to portrait, the sony sign fades away. Nice remote. Little bit expensive but a good buy.

It does the job.

  • Summary: I'm somewhat tech savvy, but I can get confused with directions. It was fairly easy to load folders from my laptop to the photo frame. The wirelss remote is fairly easy to operate. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Love It

D. Bretz, Amazon

  • Summary: The best photo frame I've owned and I had 2 others before this one. Different brand. Transferring pics is simple. Pictures are crisp and bright. I really like the music feature. I bought a second one for my husband for his office. He uses it with the date/time feature. He uses the stand. I have the one at home hung up. This holds several hundred pics which is the main reason I bought this one. Would recommend this in a heartbeat.

Fantastic!

  • Summary: I gave this digital photo frame 5 stars because it was so easy to use and the images came out great! All I had to do was plug a memory stick into the USB port and drag a folder of selected photos I saved on my desktop into it. I then removed the memory stick and insert it into the back of the plugged in digital photo frame and up pop the images. So cool! I recommend this product.

These Are Really Very Cool

electronics guy, Amazon
14 December 2012
  • Summary: For my use, these are to be presents preloaded with pictures and for that they are perfect. The screen isn't like looking at a painting or even an HD TV, but they look good and are simple enough to use that you really don't even need the instructions. The 2 GB of internal memory is handy and will hold quite a few photos - a huge number if you reduce the resolution to match the photo frame resolution instead of leaving them at high-res.

Screen is not 8-inches, description is misleading

D. Snow, Amazon

  • Summary: ` I was looking at this 8-inch Sony Photo Frame as a possible birthday gift, I went to the official Sony website to check the specs. It turns out the 8-inch screen is actually only 7.3 inch viewable size. This difference might seem small, but the buyer is losing about 17% screen area. I thought the screen size vs. 'actual viewable size' nonsense ended when CRT monitors and TV's were made obsolete by LCD's! Check[...] for the complete Sony specifications...

Does not store video

CE @ LWR, Amazon
22 May 2012
  • Summary: The frame is nice with good image resolution. However, I bought this model specifically for its ability to display videos and what this frame does NOT do is store video on its internal memory. You can store photos but not video. So if you want to display video you will need to leave a flash drive containing the video connected to the photo frame for the frame to display the video. I am dissapointed on that aspect of functionality.

Pretty good value

R.H., Amazon
6 May 2012
  • Summary: My wife just bought this unit for my birthday. I am not familiar with what other units/options are available so difficult for me to compare. What I can say is that the unit has nice color, brightness/contrast and picture quality. It is easy to use and load photos into its internal memory. The quality of the frame is very nice. The things I would suggest to Sony to improve: - The audio at its lowest setting is too loud.
