Summary: I got a "10.1 inch" frame as a birthday present. The quality of the images is quite good, although not quite up to the standard of contemporary smart phones or tablet computers. The random play feature is very handy for an unattended display of photos -- I have my frame set up on the mantle showing photos of the family. The frame allows you to put pictures in different folders which, at first glance, looks like a great way to organize different groups of photos.
Limited number of images can be handled by this frame

Summary: Received this frame as a Christmas gift from my husband. The specs state that the frame supports up to a 32gb SDHC card, which I promptly ordered from Amazon. To my chagrin, after spending lots of time over 2 days resizing images (in order to fit all of our photos on the card), I find that the frame cannot support more than 9,999 images, no matter what size they are.
Summary: The HD1000's screen is not as nice as the previous, fluorescent-backlit model. That model had a smooth, seamless picture with no visible pixels, and photos looked natural on it. This screen has noticeable pixels, and colors tend to be garish (especially redness in faces) with no ability to control it. I returned this frame for the Sony DPF-XR100, which is far better. The entire product is more mature and nicer to use (buttons, menus, etc.).
Summary: Der Sony DPF ist sehr elegant un passt einfach in jedem Raum.
