Summary: There are many cheaper digital frames on the market but, when compared side by side, the image quality on the Philps puts most to shame. We have had one up and running, switched on the whole time, for a year now with no problems. Build quality and functionality are also in a different league from the cheaper models around.
Summary: Very easy to set up, just stick a memory card in and it is working straight away. There is no need to install anything on your computer which will no-doubt add to all of the rubbish that companies tell you to install with their products. You can plug it in via UBS and view the "hard drive" of the frame and work it form there or just use memory cards.
Summary: This is an excellent product - not the cheapest, but you gets what you pays for - had this out of the box and loaded with an SD card within 20 seconds - the controls are intuitive and the image quality is superb. No fancy MP3 gimmicks, but I just wanted a high quality display - which this certainly is.
Summary: Not being the type of person who writes reviews I feel I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was with this Philips Photo Frame despite what other reviewers say. It's outstanding resolution & brightness gets a "wow" from ALL who view it. The set-up & alteration controls are easy to use as the icons for specific functions appear in the correct order at the top of each screen - you then only have to press the corresponding button at the back - NO NEED TO KEEP TURNING THE...
Excerpt: "...detail below: The price of this Philips digital photo frame was £69.99. I bought it a few weeks back, and I think that it is quite a clever invention. I would never have thought about it, but it is just such a great thing to have in your home. I bought this from Comet, and for a great product like Philips, it is a great deal, great price and a great product, all rolled into one. Personally, I would pay that little bit extra to buy a brand which ...
Summary: I purchased the frame 6 months ago after trying the ATMT product which I found unacceptable. Expensive at first sight but does everything I want - switches on an off at preset times, different speeds and features on the slide show, very easy to load from my PC, looks great and seems to be very smart about resizing images to fit without any fiddling around on my part.
Summary: The answer to this is - not in my opinion. With this photo frame, you are paying the extra (way above the prices of many 'competitive' frames) for a great build quality and a fantastic screen to show off your pictures. I have now bought 3 of these for gifts since Christmas time and I - and the recipients - couldn't be more pleased. The resolution is important - it is higher than most competitive frames. The screen is very bright and clear.
Summary: This is one of the best Digital Photo Frames that I've seen to date. Very pleased with the image quality, the design and finishing - It is a way better choice then then the <£99.00 products - the extra money is well Spend. The higher screen resolution, superb viewing angle and ease of use on the Philips really does make a difference. No gimmmicks - it doesn't play video's or mp3's, it just displays photographs, but who needs it.
Summary: After reading other reviews, I decided that the Philips electronic photo frame was the one. I was not disappointed at all. The screen resolution is excellent, but this will only be as good as the original photo put on it. Old scanned in photos I installed, were not too bad. Build quality very good. Instructions ok, not the best in the world, but as I'm a male, I looked at the instructions after I'd got it all working.
Summary: I bought this for my Mom who is in her 80s. I loaded lots of current photos as well as old slides and black and white photos that I had scanned onto my pc which she didn't know about. She was totally gobsmacked and says that it is the best present that she has ever had. I set it to change the photographs every 5 minutes and to go on from 10.00am to 8.30pm. She says that she checks now and then to see which new picture has come up.
