Battery-power feature didn't work

Hoffmeister, Amazon
12 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this as a gift, selected as one of fairly few battery-powered frames on the market (for Grandma to show pictures to her friends...!). Unfortunately the one sent presumably failed to charge properly or retain hold a charge, as the charging light never went off and the screen didn't work unless plugged into the mains adaptor. Didn't get a chance to try any of the other features. Seller graciously refunded the money and let us keep the frame anyway.

Fantastic........at first!! Two dead ones now!!!

Mr. Christopher J. Perkins "chrisperkyperk", Amazon
31 March 2007
  • Summary: By far the best screen out there...when they work!!!!!!! My second one of these has just died. All that happened is that it was turned off and unplugged. Plugged back in later on and it began to start up and then......CRASH!!!!! Black screen and no amount of careful attantion would coax it back into life even the reset button did nothing. The first one I bought from Amazon, they could not replace it as they had no stock, and were waiting for a the newer model.

Not Impressed

BiffaBacon, Amazon
29 December 2006
  • Summary: My first problem was software not compatible with an Apple Mac though the Amazon review fails to mention. Bought a 1gig SD memory card, after reading the internal memory is limited, to find the frame won't read the pics on it (used a pc to load card) and for some reason the frame tries to copy them to the internal memory but fails. Software manager, which has to be installed on a pc, is pretty useless and belongs in a museum.
