Good wireless frame which works well with Frame Channel
15 December 2009
Summary: I bought this frame in November 2009 for my parents. It was fairly easy to setup. People say that they had problems setting this up with their wireless router?? Why? I had no problem linking to the Netgear router.
Summary: For the price this frame is hard to beat. It is the future. It is great to actually use our digital pictures again!
Pros: WiFi - works very well, no issues connecting. Will pull from the shared media servers (vista and windows 7) allowing playlists to be setup on whatever computer on your network that you want Decent picture quality Pulls some information from framechannel such as weather and some new Kodak software...
Cons: Touch frame not the best, but works Does not immediately find all the media servers Kodak software a big buggy
Summary: The frame is a bit cumbersome to set up, however with a working wireless we had no problem other than the fight with the bad user interface on the frame. purpose of frame: present for my parents that live in Europe; I'm in the states and my sister is a world-traveler.
Summary: A little pricey compared to other digital frames, but the features like the touch panel and its Wi-Fi capability make it a pretty good value. The touch panel feature takes a little getting used to, but once you have it down, it actually makes browsing the features fairly simple.
Summary: Our grandson loves this Kodak digital photo frame - especially the size, the wireless capabilities, and the touch frame. He is very computer-savy (what kids are not today!)and he could not wait to open the gift and get into it right away.
Summary: My Wife says this is a really fun item. She can see all the pictures I have on my computer. Also, I copy photos on to Flash Drives so she can see pictures when the computer is not on. Also, she uses memory card direct from my camera to check out the pictures. Also.
Summary: Great picture even from accross the room Easy to download pictures directly to frame or just plug in your 4 Gb flash drive and enjoy an endless slide show. We like ours so much we bought one for a Grandparent, downloaded the pictures and she can enjoy it hassle free.
Summary: We had been giving the grandparents frames over the years, with updated SD cards, but they seemed to get old within 2-3 months. Wireless, with an RSS feed seemed to be the way to go to keep the frames "current".
Summary: With the right software this frame is excellent. Use Picasa (free from Google) [...] to organize and manage collections, give star ratings to your favorites. Save copy to temp location on hard drive. Use the excellent re-sizer and manager software "FastStone" [...
