Summary: Received the Kodak EasyShare P725 digital frame as a gift. It would not turn on -- nothing, nada, zip. Contacted customer care and was sent to "repair." Was told it would cost a minimum of $69.00 to return the frame for repair. Good-bye Kodak.
Summary: Bought one in 2009 and it worked fine for a while. Eventually it started freezing on a picture and had to be turned on and off. Now it is DOA...will not turn on at all. It may be cheap but I would pay more for a better made one.
Summary: Just over a year after i bought this for my mom, it stopped working. The green light on the power brick lights up, but the frame never boots up anymore. This is very disappointing and after reading other reviews here, I'm not the only one that has this problem. What a shame as I bought ~ 7 of these for my wedding party...I wonder if the others are still working at all now...
Summary: Experiencing the same problem as many others in these reviews. Out of the box it won't turn on. Hold down the power button and nothing. could be the power supply simply not reaching the unit as there's a green light on the supply itself. Kodak needs to reconsider the crappy power supplies they're sending with these units.
Summary: Was very excited to recieve this because of how EASY its supposed to work. The charging unit is from another country, apparently and they have this plastic thing you slip over the charger to make it USA compatible. The charger lit up but the juice never makes it to the frame. Yes, I know theres a button for power, I am not an idiot! so pressing that for 3 seconds it never came on. A real serious piece of Kodak CRAP. I'm returning this for sure. junk!
Summary: i just bought two of these units and both of them DO NOT TURN ON! I have never experienced such horrible quality. I am returning both units. I almost think this cannot be true but it is. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.
Summary: I bought two of these for Christmas '09, one for my mom and one for myself. The one for myself has started randomly turning itself on, while my mom's has the opposite problem. Hers just completely stopped working! It is supposed to have a one year warranty, so I will try sending hers back. I do not recommend this frame. One thing I have never liked about it is that there is no way to set it to stay on one picture.
Summary: I received this as a holiday gift. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment. The picture quality is only so-so. The time and effort to load a few images was unacceptable. Now, after barely 3 months, it does not turn on any more. I am not sure about the quality of other similar products, but I will stick to my screen savers.
Summary: Nice pictures but this thing is so painfully slow to use that it's infuriating. It took just over 10 minutes just to boot up to display the pictures (in random order, from internal memory) after spending literally hours loading 3200 pictures onto it. Copying 320MB to the internal memory took well over an hour - more like 2 hours. All of the pictures are 800x600 so there isn't much resizing going on - just the vertical pics.
