Digital Picture Frame

Steven P., Newegg
29 January 2010
  • Pros: Nice price. Good features like power on/off timer, remote, clock, calendar, picture show options.
  • Cons: Remote is nice but does not always pick up when not aiming directly at sensor, not a big deal though. Had to play with the picture settings, but once I set them, the pictures look nice. You can get better quality pictures with other frames but you pay more also. I think the quality is worth the l...

Decent

Dana C., Newegg
26 January 2010
  • Summary: Other reviews need to cut the thing a break. It cost $30 so come on. Don't loose the little screw that is in the package for the frame stand.
  • Pros: Full Featured. Works. Solid wood frame - very nice finish. Format a 2GB Kingston SD with Fat32.
  • Cons: Slightly white washed bland output. Doesn't "pop". Colors not as rich/warm as others. Full screen/auto resize cuts off the top of some photos. Random fades good except you can't turn off the 2-3 fades that are less desirable in the bunch.

Second Great Review!

Steve N., Newegg
25 December 2009
  • Summary: In this price range with bonus mp3 player and audio and AV out features, what can you say bad about it... unless it just doesnt work.
  • Pros: Read my other review in addition to this one. This is my second review because I bought 2 of these and I had a few after thoughts. This unit also comes with a clock and alarm mode so you can set it to come on and go off every day. Thats pretty basic, not much different than an alarm radio except ...
  • Cons: The buttons on the back of the unit seem clunky and slow to respond. The remote solves all of that and of course allows many more controls in addition to the buttons on the back. It would have been a pain to setup and operate without the remote. Still, the remote resolves all the shortcomings of ...

YES! Excellent Deal X2 !

Steve N., Newegg
25 December 2009
  • Summary: Just load up an SD card(accepts SDHC, or usb thumb drive as well) with pictures and music and either use the built in speakers(their OK but externals are way better). It doesn't appear to do video like the Cenomax unit but it doesn't claim to do so either.
  • Pros: Great Deal X2. I bought 2 of these because they reminded me of the CenoMax units I bought last year. They don't make Cenomax anymore so if you looking for somethign similar, this is the one. They have built in speaker set like Cenomax but more importantly they have a new feature, 3.5mm audio out ...
  • Cons: Absolutely none!

Ver bad

Anonymous, Newegg
14 December 2009
  • Pros: This is my first bad experience with New Egg.
  • Cons: Last second I thought of putting photos on before giving as a gift, lucky I did because it doesn't turn on. Don't think I'll get replacement back in time to send to my send in New Hamshire for Christmas. Very Unhappy. : /

Waste of money (spend more and get something better)

Anonymous, Newegg
9 December 2009
  • Pros: It was cheap.
  • Cons: The picture quality is horrible. User interface looks similar to 16-bit Nintendo. Buttons work most of the time. If you place a standard sized USB flash drive in, it sticks out of the top.

Bad Choice

Anonymous, Newegg
5 October 2009
  • Summary: Just a little irritated at the cost of returning broken equipment. This was going to be a gift that will obviously not get there on time. May rethink this whole buying anything but pc equipment on line.
  • Pros: Not much
  • Cons: Frame or wall wart blew up after a couple days. Am sending for replacement, though not sure if the next will be any better.
