Great Idea! Complete rip-off and shady business practice.

Scotty Randolph, Amazon
29 November 2014
  • Summary: Very disappointing. I bought this frame last year as a gift for my parents so we could send pictures of their grandkids to the frame on a regular basis. The disappointing part is you pay them $99 for the frame and then pay for the service, which is another $100 for the year.

If you agree to pay around $100/year to watch your photos, then buy it!

Amazon
8 November 2014
  • Summary: What I know about a digital photo frame is to show my OWN pictures on it, and thats it. But this device changes even this simple term. Do I have to pay $100 per year to show my photos on a frame in my home, and what is worse the company will show their Ads in my frame, what a redicuols device is...

Ceiva is a shady company

KH, Amazon
18 July 2014
  • Summary: As others have noted, Ceiva is a shady company. I requested cancellation of service (which they confirmed), yet they continued to bill my credit card a year later. I have been unsuccessful in getting the charge refunded. The idea is great, but the company not so much.

This is why I like it

Lorane, Amazon
28 January 2013
  • Summary: Yes, there is a yearly fee to connect to the Ceiva website. However, this includes a warranty. Twice my Ceiva frame has gone kaput and both times, without question, my frame was replaced. Also, once the electrical cord went bad and they replaced that as well.

PicturePlan is a Rip Off

a, Amazon
25 December 2012
  • Summary: This product looks nice, but that's about it. You need to keep paying them money all the time to keep uploading pictures onto the frame! It has a USB port, but they intentionally limited the functionality of it so it won't read a standard USB stick and read photos from it.. Nope!

purchased for my 90 and 92 y/o parents.

  • Summary: My parents live far away in assisted living. Our visits will never be frequent enough, so we purchased this frame. From every account, they enjoy it...and we are delighted our photos rotate all day and all night to help them remember family connections.

Perfect for luddites!

theBlackHaus, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this for my grandmother, who has NO internet access. The frame works through an included modem over the phone line, so that I can send her photos of her great grandson. We were so happy to find something that she could use to receive photos!
