Not worth it.

  • Summary: Thought this would be a great way to keep everyone in the house communicating. Was rather disappointed after a few days of use. The controls for recording messages is rather finicky, and the board doesn't wife off as easily as you'd expect. Plus you have to keep it plugged in all the time which means it isn't going on the fridge or in most mudrooms. If I had a way to go back, I wouldn't puchase this again.

Great item at a even greater price

  • Summary: I got this for my mom for Mother's Day. It was super cheap (under $50), but was full of features. It's not the best set up by any means. The calendar app is hard to navigate and you cannot specify who has a birthday on the date. Also very annoying that the system requires a power source. I was hoping for rechargeable batteries or regular battery power even, but alas, no. Still, those are minor gripes.

A good gift to bring your mom into this century :)

  • Summary: I bought this as a gift for my mom for Christmas. Previously she had a huge calendar where she'd write upcoming events. She has now replaced the "manual" calendar with this one. I will say that I was disappointed at the wierdness of how to put pictures onto the frame, but once we figured it out it is pretty awesome. My mom really likes it, and loves being able to leave messages for my Dad, like "don't forget to take out the garbage".

2 units have failed within a year

  • Summary: I got one from Woot back in March, and it failed within 2 weeks. I sent it back under warranty (only 90 days) and got a replacement unit. Now that one has failed and I'm out of the 90 day warranty window. I won't bother fixing it yet again. Too bad... I liked the idea of this product.

This thing rocks!

  • Summary: I love this! It is an awesome product! The picture and video are super easy to use and the calendar feature I use to leave myself video reminders as far as a month out! The only downside is that the sound quality is very poor... I ended up opening it up and hooking up a cheap pair of passive speakers to it and it was night and day different (Be advised: This involved soldering, and is NOT plug and play) Awesome product!
