Summary: Thought this would be a great way to keep everyone in the house communicating. Was rather disappointed after a few days of use. The controls for recording messages is rather finicky, and the board doesn't wife off as easily as you'd expect. Plus you have to keep it plugged in all the time which means it isn't going on the fridge or in most mudrooms. If I had a way to go back, I wouldn't puchase this again.
Summary: Got this a few months ago, used it mostly for seeing time and calender, then when I read into instructions to really begin using it, totally locked up, now the only screen we see is homebase AudioVox.............this was a waste of cash amd time spent trying to get it to work....Junk Junk Junk Junk hated to even rate it with one star..
Summary: The idea of this item is pretty cool i think! However, it worked rather slow and navigating through the unit was not simplistic. The erase marker that was included with this item didn't work either. The sound quality was AWFUL. This item is definitely getting returned.
Summary: I was scared to order this after reading the bad reviews. but it was exactly what i needed in my kitchen since I leave a note everday. the review about the sound being poor was what worried me most since i thought it would be fun to leave a voice note. well their is a volume button and i had it turned up all the way and it was very loud. it was too loud i had to turn it down . so great that works! picture quality is good.
Summary: I took the plunge on this unit because it was being offered very cheaply. I was expecting a poor-quality digital picture frame combined with a dry-erase surface for leaving myself notes. I intended to mount it on my refrigerator door in my kitchen. When the unit arrived and I unpacked it, I was very pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness of the product design. The hardware is designed VERY well.
Summary: I got this for my mom for Mother's Day. It was super cheap (under $50), but was full of features. It's not the best set up by any means. The calendar app is hard to navigate and you cannot specify who has a birthday on the date. Also very annoying that the system requires a power source. I was hoping for rechargeable batteries or regular battery power even, but alas, no. Still, those are minor gripes.
Audiovox Homebase .... Okay is the best rating I can give !!!

Summary: I saw this device being shown in one of the HGTV shows. However, in this post i-Phone era, it is tough to make any other device as user friendly and provide ease convenience that many of the Apple products do. Audiovox Homebase is little behind its time. While we might have been absolutely thrilled with this device a few years back, the menu structure and the use is little uneasy.
A good gift to bring your mom into this century :)

Summary: I bought this as a gift for my mom for Christmas. Previously she had a huge calendar where she'd write upcoming events. She has now replaced the "manual" calendar with this one. I will say that I was disappointed at the wierdness of how to put pictures onto the frame, but once we figured it out it is pretty awesome. My mom really likes it, and loves being able to leave messages for my Dad, like "don't forget to take out the garbage".
Summary: I purchased this product from Woot.com because I liked the idea and it was really cheap. The interface is clunky and slow and the pictures aren't particularly great. I *was* pretty well satisfied with it, despite its shortcomings, until it failed less than a month after purchase. My wife left me an uplifting note on the non-functioning unit reading "At least it's still a whiteboard." It's a novelty item that you probably shouldn't waste your time with, sorry.
