Summary: I bought this to do a project. I wanted to a slideshow with music. I thought this would be a prefect frame, instead it was a nightmare. I spent many frustrating hours reading the instructions and trying to format everything. I also try to find product support but there was no live support.
Summary: The frame is very large, which is nice. My only complaint is that if you have a small photo, no matter what setting you put it on, it blows it up to fit the entire screen so the photo is pixelated. I do love that it has a timing feature so you can schedule when it turns on and off.
Excerpt: We returned this item immediately. Two of the rear anchor screws spun, but did not come off. The frame played 1 - 4 pictures in "slide show" mode (not in order) and went back to the Menu. What is so hard about making a quality 15" digital photo frame?
Excerpt: Design looks good, but image display is awful. Images with color gradients (i.e. sky) exhibit banding and posterization, indicating lack of color bit-depth. At most 3 or 4 bits per color per pixel instead of the standard 8 bits. See attached samples.
Pros: Easy Photo Upload, Easy To Use
Cons: Color Gradient Banding, Distorts Photos, Poor documentation, Poor Image Quality, Posterization Of Images
Excerpt: I bought this for my wife, for Mothers' Day. I am still trying to figure out how to load photographs into it. The instructions are really sketchy, and reflect the worst errors of electronics makers; the people who write the instructions ASSUME that the end user knows as much (at least) as the...
Excerpt: I have had a digital frame for years so when it burned out a couple of months ago I did some research to find out what was recommended. THis Aluratek frame is cheaply made and has a cheap plastic look and feel to it. Some pictures look ok but others there is some distortion.
Cons: Distorts Photos, Flimsy Construction, Hard To Use, Unattractive Design
