The Sony DSC-T100 is Sony, a newly released ultra compact point-n-shoot digital camera is a slim point-and-shoot with a quick performance that makes it an excellent choice for a pocket camera. Its interesting attractions are it takes great photos with both its 8-megapixel imager and its 5x "folded" internal optical zoom lens. The Sony DSC-T100, a replacement for the DSC-T50, allows its users to have 31MB of internal memory. Multiple video modes are also available. Not to forget it nine-point autofocus. Users are able to ‘play’ around with its settings in the program mode like the white balance, ISO sensitivity, Metering, focus, AF-assist lamp and many more. Its 35 to 175mm equivalent lens incorporates Sony’s Super SteadyShot optical image stabilization to minimize blur that is caused by camera shake at slow shutter speeds. This might come in use for photographers who constantly move when they click the shot. The 35 to 175mm lens will help in the stabilization of the shots taken. The photos taken with the Sony DSC-T100 are crisp while the colors are vivid. Nice combination indeed. A certain reviewer quoted that the menu is vast, well set out and attractive to look at but splitting it down into two parts and labeling one as Home is unnecessary. It is also mentioned that the Sony DSC T100 is a capable camera with many features as well as a good looking sleek body with no external parts to snap off. Some users feel that its buttons are a little small and it even makes it hard not to have an optical viewfinder. Credit goes to the face detection capabilities and the direct HDTV output are what make this camera different from the others. Since, the Sony DSC-T100 fits easily in handbags and pockets; it has apparently been a favorite for both men and women.

With the Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 shooting in low light doesn’t have to result in blurry, grainy photos. Sony’s Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization counters camera shake and stabilize images so you can easily shoot with longer exposure times. Also, it can identify up to 8 faces in the camera’s LCD frame, and automatically adjust white balance and flash as well as focus and exposure for sharp, clear photos. Sony’s Clear raw noise reduction technology will help... Read more
Sony’s Cyber-shot DSC-T100 8.1-megapixel shooter is certainly a looker, with a petite, purse-friendly exterior available in a choice of silver, black, or red. But underneath the slick exterior, there’s not enough to love. Image quality was below average in Macworld Lab tests, with some lack of detail in most shots and persistent exposure miscalculations. Getting to the limited control options is a challenge, given the minimalist layout of buttons and dials. The on-b... Read more

I would’ve given this camera an Editor’s Choice designation except for one problem. Although Sony promotes the fact this camera outputs HD-quality shots to your HDTV, the only way you can do it is by purchasing an optional accessory for at least $40. Bummer. Given its long list of other excellent features—8.2MP resolution, quality photos, optical image stabilization, a 3-inch LCD, excellent menu system and Face Detection--this should have had a higher rating. Still th... Read more
With Automatic, Program, Movie, and nine Scene modes, the Sony T100 doesn’t have a lot of manual control but still offers a good set of features. The view and menu fonts are big enough so that the elderly may be able to read and navigate it, but the T100 is really built for the younger crowd that appreciates high-definition slide shows and a camera body so trendy that it could double as jewelry. I bought this Camera just a year back. The picture quality is not better than my old 3.2 pixel camera. Recently the camera failed with CCD Sensor failed. Sony is reluctant to replace my camera as the warranty just got expired and T100 is not listed in CCD Sensor problematic products. Read more
