The Nixon D40x is one of the best DSLRs available today. It is known to be the upgraded or follow-up version of its previous model Nixon D40. Considered one of the best according to some of its users is because it has a very comfortable and compact body design which is at the same time versatile, not noisy at higher ISOs, highly customizable menus and not to miss its 10.2-megapixel CCD sensor which gives a boost to its resolution to which in turn hasn’t at all affected the overall image quality. A certain user described it as the D40 with 4.1 more mega pixels on the same size sensor and the ability to use ISO 100, rather than the ISO 200 lower limit on the D40. Known as a fact indeed is that the pictures taken with the Nikon D40x are great pictures. A certain user quoted that the Nikon D40x illustrates very clearly both the marketing and monetary value of a 10 mega pixel model over an otherwise identical 6 mega pixel version. As far as modes are concerned, it works great on the auto mode and the manual mode too is easy to set but might not be that easy to take perfect shots. A certain disadvantage or weakness in this camera which has been noted by one of its reviewers is that the flash-synch is not as good as its previous model the Nikon D40. Also, you will have to purchase its Capture NX software if you are planning on processing your RAW images. The Nikon D40x is a guaranteed customer satisfaction. In other words, it has something for everyone to like. The Nikon D40x is also advisable for photographers who want a camera that will last for quite some time. This camera is also referred as an easy camera to run.
